Junk!
Firstly, this item is not new. I kinda suspected as much due to the price and the oily fingerprints and scuffs on the item but they sneakily omit this fact in the listing. In fact, it’s not even renewed/ refurbished but merely a system pull from a large enterprise lot(probably old business computers that are retired) that’s simply been repackaged. This can easily be confirmed by running the ser number through seagate site. The D.o.m. was also from 2018. Well at least it worked right? Wrong! The dvr detected the drive and prompted to format but after format completion the drive would not record. It’s as if it wasn’t formatted. Multiple attempts and system reboots, factory resets later confirmed the drive is indeed a dud. Had to open a return, schlep to a return partner, stand in line and write this review all because I wanted to “save” a few bucks lol Save your time and money and stay away!

If you're like me and wondering if this can be used in a PC as a normal storage drive, the answer is yes lol

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Save yourself some time and just buy the product off of amazon. bought some off ebay for cheaper and got what I paid for, two duds. I bought two of these for amazon to put into an xbox one and a ps4 that I refurbished and they worked like a charm.
