I don't write many reviews unless something is incredible and this qualifies. I am a 40-something male who used to have eagle-eye vision. My near-vision has deteriorated to the point that i can't read a restaurant menu without readers or using the flashlight on my phone to illuminate it (a great trick if you don't have readers). I am also a serial entrepreneur and was thinking to myself, "Women have purses for their glasses, but there must be a way that guys could have something on them at all times to solve this problem." At first I thought about some sort of bracelet or maybe a necklace. Whatever I came up with had too many complications. When I went online to look for something, I came across this product. Right away from the number of positive reviews, I knew they had done it. Very brilliant. Because it goes into a very thin pouch on your phone, it goes with you and it's totally unobtrusive. The fact that you can wear them in either direction is a bonus. The flexible nose allows the product to snugly fit on your nose with just enough pressure to stay there. And for only $20 with a lifetime guarantee?? It was a no-brainer for me. I went to their website to see how big the company was and it looks to be doing quite well. Anyone who needs readers should get these. Easy & effective. My only disappointment is that I didn't think of it :-)

The solution to having reading glasses whenever you are on your cell phone. Before I found these I was always searching for reading glasses when my cell phone rang. I got these, stuck them to the back of my phone and TA DAH!! No more searching!!

Okay so I'm one of those people who need glasses but as I use different strengths for different things, I really don't want to get prescription glasses. And I have a problem with forgetting to carry a pair of glasses when I go out but I never forget to bring my cell phone as I carry it on my pants waistband so having a pair of thin glasses that I can attach to my cell is great for me. They're lightweight and seem to be pretty sturdy for what they are. And if they ever break, I'll just get another pair as I really love them. I haven't had any problem with the case coming off my cell case and if it ever does come off then I'll just use a Command strip to put it right back on. The strength is 2.50x and it is just as good as the regular 2.50x glasses I have so that's good about it. I haven't had any scratches show up on the glasses so they seem pretty well made.

I agree with other reviewers who have pointed out that the hard plastic case scratches the lenses. Ideally it should have a very thin soft inner lining of some sort. It's either just a not-thought-out design or the company wants you to replace the glasses more often than you normally would, which is not kosher. Anyway I tossed an earlier pair (they are a backup in case I forget my glasses, not for daily use) because the nose bridge piece had broken and the lenses were so scratched they were worthless. Still, the concept behind the glasses is worth 4 stars. This time as can be seen in the photos I've cut a sleeve out of standard kitchen parchment paper which is about the thinnest paper out there (the notch is because there's a stabilizing ridge inside the plastic sleeve) and it works well, it takes a few more seconds to insert it and remove it and I can live with that if the lenses don't scratch.

I love the idea of these and always having a pair of readers at my fingertips is amazing However, there's some fundamental design flaws and quality issues with this product. I've had them for less than 4 months and the lenses are covered in scratches. The case has also started to crack and the crack is growing. The scratches are due to the plastic lenses rubbing against the plastic case when they are removed/inserted. The case is just hard plastic on the inside with nothing to protect the lenses.

These reading glasses are actually better than expected! I assumed that they would suit my needs, but it wasn't until I actually experienced them hands-on that I was convinced. The case is so thin that it fit's conveniently in my pocket, or even in my wallet. The case is very strong too. The reading glasses are a joy to wear. They look great, not "geeky", and boy are they easy to use. As you can tell, I am VERY glad I took the chance and ordered a pair. I am going to order another pair to put in my car. I highly recommend the ThinOptics Universal Pod Case + Rectangular Reading Glasses. GREAT product and GREAT answer to my needs.

I absolutely love these little glasses! I had eye surgery recently and the lens they put in my eyes allow me to see distance now which is good. Unfortunately, they took away my ability to see up close which is awful!! I can’t even text without reading glasses or anything. I’ve never experienced this challenge. I’ve bought numerous pairs of reading glasses and they are now everyplace in my home. These little eyeglass gems are my most favorite and are always with me. I have them attached to the back of my iPhone as a slim attachable case with them. They have literally saved me! I was in the store the other day and another shopper asked me to read a label for her that she couldn’t see. I panicked as I didn’t have any glasses w/me. I pulled these little glasses from the back of my iPhone and read the label for the lady and put them right back in their case - So perfect! One word of caution with these glasses as they are a temporary fix w/no ear holders on them is this: Remove them before flushing a toilet as they might fall off and into the water. Thankfully it hasn’t happened to me but almost did once. When you bend over your glasses will fall off - be aware so they stay safe. I’ve had mine for almost 2 months now. I am so impressed I’ve ordered two more of these readers. I have one to keep in my wallet and one to keep attached to the dash board of my car. I’m totally impressed with these glasses. I’ve never written such a glowing review about anything else ever! They fit snuggled onto my nose temporarily as needed. I can even see over them if I put them lower on my nose which allows me to watch tv/distance and read/up-close at the same time. I’m totally hooked with these and will be buying more. They are the best investment ever for me.

These things take a beating. I have challenged their flexibility in several ways inadvertently. The spring is engineered just right; it will sit on your nose snugly and hold on tight even if you shake your head, all the while not being uncomfortable. It comes out of its case easy enough and reinserting it is not tough but does need some practicing to get it right. The choices available for length strength is adequate, but I would like to see more choices. I have mine mounted on back of my cell phone and it doesn't add any significant or crippling thickness to the function of your phone. I can easily insert my phone in my pocket without great effort. My lenses prematurely scratched. I used water and cotton cloths to clean, but they still scratched. I was upset and contacted ThinOPTICS. They were very apologetic and sent me two things: 1] A video on how to properly clean their product 2] replacement set at no cost. YES, they replaced them even though it was my fault they got scratched. They stand by their product, and rightfully so, it's a well thought out and designed product.

If you are having difficulties in reading all the small print whilst filling out forms or reading labels and you either forget or can't be bothered taking your reading glasses with you everywhere, then these are the answer. They are small, effective and easily secured to your phone, or placed in your purse, so you will always have them handy. They are light and secure to your nose quite well. I think they are a great idea.

Manejables y puedes pegarlo en la funda del móvil. Muy útil para personas que no ven bien. Se lo regalé a un familiar y está encantado porque si no llevaba las gafas de cerca no podía leer los mensajes del teléfono. Aunque no tienen patillas se ajustan bastante bien y no se suelen caer cuando las usas. Eso sí, son un poco caras para lo que son pero en general estoy satisfecha con la compra. Lo recomiendo.
