Impact GCA Lamp (250W) (120V)

I just returned from a huge 3-day trade show where I work as a videographer. To get a professional look I carry my 300-watt Impact quartz-halogen flood around with me, (along with a light stand and a 25-foot extension cord - phew!). On the morning of the first day my old bulb burned out, and I would've died if I hadn't brought an extra with me. This bulb (is the one I'm writing about) is very solid with a heavy ceramic base. I swapped it out like a surgeon operating on the sidewalk and bingo - the flood worked great the whole rest of the show.There are a couple of things to remember which will increase the life of your bulbs. The first is NEVER TOUCH THE GLASS part of the bulb with your fingers. It will leave a coating of oil on it which will damage the bulb when it gets hot. The other thing is ALWAYS ALLOW THE BULB TO COOL DOWN before moving it around. The bulb's filament is very fragile when it's hot. Any sudden movement can break it, and typically you won't discover that it's burned out until the next time you turn it on.

Works great. Lit my shoot with it and it was cheaper the b and h. So far so good. Hang in there little light.

Needed a replacement for one of my Lowell lights. This was the size and configuration, but it burned out in less than a week, I would say approximately 25 hours or less of work.

One bulb had a broken filament on arrival. So far the other three have performed as expected.

Good bulb. Just like all of these types, do not move and bump the light stand while bulb is in use or still hot. The bulb will pop. But they do last otherwise and produce good light.

My small Lowel Pro lamp needed a replacement bulb, and I bought this one. Works fine. It's NOT very bright but good enough, and I'd be nervous with a brighter bulb because the lamp already gets VERY hot in use. Product arrived on time, and works as expected.

They're fine.
