Works well!
This is my second purchase. I keep one upstairs and one downstairs. When the foam applicator began to fall apart from several years of occasional use I peeled it off the first one. It works just fine without the sponge applicator. I'll do the same with the newer one. If you are using it to apply a prescription cream you will waste a lot of the cream that is absorbed by the sponge. If you are applying a thick ointment it will be more difficult to wash out of the foam and if you are applying something near or over an incision or open sore I think the foam pad is an infection hazard so I recommend peeling, scraping, rubbing it off and just using the hard plastic "paddle" to apply whatever you are using. The handle could be a little longer, but it is an easily packable size.

Don't waste a dollar on this.
I like nothing about this. It tore apart the first time using. The handle is good material but the sponge came off and it then served no purpose. They need to put more thought in this before marketing.

Use on hard to reach places on the back
This applicator was fine. I used it to apply creme on spots on my back.

Thin non replaceable pad.
no way to replace the pad, and it's thin and falls apart after one washing. Should come with a way to put a new pad.

not well made
I used this about 4 times--before the sponge surface simply peeled off.Don't bother ordering--not worth it. And the small surface is just too small to help much.

Wonderful item!
My back feels great now. This nifty item is easy to use and really spreads the lotion on my back.
