Is this big enough to wrap a regular full stick of butter?

No. They are 4in x 5in. You could wrap a 1/4 stick. They are for taffy.

A strange question but previously I purchased another brand that had good reviews also. Left an after taste on my candy? How are these?

These wax sheets are great! They don't stick to the candy and I have not found that they leave any after taste, nor have any of my family and friends complained of an after taste.
