I have become a huge fan of Volt. I have very low capability when it comes to electrical work, but decided to take the plunge and do the landscape lighting myself after watching some how-to videos on the Volt website. Volt sets the bar when it comes to support. The videos are useful and plentiful and the live customer service is crucial. I called them at least ten times to help plan and install. They were friendly, easily available, and absolutely critical to my success (and confidence). Some tips:- buy an all-included bundle and add on individually as needed: truly simplified the decisioning process- make sure to get the hubs: I didn't think I'd need them but was so glad that I got them- for the transformers, get the clamp style: makes it so much easier- if you end up installing the transformer on a stainless in-ground stand that you can order from Volt, make sure you have clearance to have access to the back

This is my second VOLT Transformer. They cost a little more, but are worth the price. Easy to set up and they work flawlessly. The lifetime warranty is a huge plus. I have used other transformers in the past and they only seem to last a few years.

I really like this brand. The packaging was great, transformer was well protected. The box was damaged on one side on delivery but, because of the great packaging inside, the unit was not affected. I love the stainless steal case and the easy of installing it. I am not a professional landscaper but, did my research and this product came up over and over. It is well worth the money as it will last for years to come. I replaced a 20-25 year old system that had a small plastic transformer. I did have to return this one because I had miscalculated the size I would need. I did order the correct size and it was very easy to swap out. This one comes with a timer that you plug into the inside of the transformer and everything closes up securely inside the weatherproof box. I will add pictures later to this review. Don’t hesitate to buy this unit.

Not a complicated device, so pretty easy to review/rate. My only challenge was that i mounted mine inside my home with the power lines going out. I did not mount it externally, so i can't really attest to the weatherproof nature. Also, since i mounted it inside the photocell/sensor used for dusk-to-dawn became moot, but i overcame that with a little 15a Kasa smart-plug. Now i just use Kasa to program it on and off and can use Alexa to activate/deactivate with voice commands. Other than that, it's fairly sturdy and easy to use and operate. If i could hope for more it would be to have had available some sort of extension to be able to mount the photocell/sensor externally while keeping the box inside, but my usecase is a bit unique i guess.No regrets! Good buy.

Listen, I'm a professional master electrician in Texas and this is the only landscape lighting transformer I'll be using in the future. I used it to replace a transformer that I installed a year and a half ago. That one had a digital read out and good reviews on Amazon. It looked similar to something you'd find at Lowe's or home depot. Well, after a year and a half the digital display failed and the one year warranty was expired. There was nothing to do but buy a new transformer.After that experience the lifetime warranty and replaceable timer on this unit appealed to me. I had never heard of the brand, but the reviews were great and seemed real, so I went for it. I wasn't disappointed.This is the best transformer I've ever installed or even worked with in my 15 years as an electrician. The construction is excellent, the design is even better with a plug in timer unit and the photo cell tucked safely behind the sturdy door lens to keep it from the elements. I totally loved that detail! Here in Texas most photo cells last 3 years max, thanks to the sun roasting them all summer long. I don't see that being a problem with this unit. It gets light through the lens on the door, but it's completely out of the weather. Genius.Function was fine so far. My client was happy. And I'm not worried because I know I installed a quality piece of equipment with a lifetime warranty just in case. I'll only be using Volt transformer in the future.

Good quality and good price. I have installed several of them for my clients and they have performed well. Ease of setup is also a plus.
