MD740 Dental Intraoral Camera - Easy USB Connection, 6 LED, 1.3 Mega Pixels - Dental Software Included!

Based on the recommendations of a friend I bought this camera. So far pretty happy with it, good ease of use, easy to install, well-written user manual. Picture quality is pretty good, free software is not great, but OK. I have 2 Sopro cameras that I paid a lot of cash. You can probably buy 20 of these FocusDent MD740 cameras for the same price as one Sopro. I will buy additional FocusDent units on Amazon and install in every one of my operatories. Highly recommend for it’s price, simplicity and image clarity!

Image quality was poor and even though I am technically inclined, I couldn’t get it to work with Dexis fully. It will connect and manual photos can be taken but the capture button never worked. That means you need two people to capture an image to maintain infection control protocols. You’ll probably end up having to bite the bullet and buy one of the expensive cameras.

I have been using this in my practice for the past few months and overall I'm pleased. I'm using it for insurance submissions and patient education when needed. Simple to connect with Eaglesoft. The resolution is good, not great when enlarged on a bigger monitor. It is good enough for all my purposes. When compared to units from the leading dental supply companies, I can't justify the huge markup for slightly better resolution at this point.

It works with our software; however, it would not capture the picture with the buttons on the side. You have to use the keyboard to capture. So it was not easy to use by yourself

Very good camera, simple to install and use. The picture quality is excellent and the item was delivered on time. Will pay for itself within the first day :)

I bought the camera to be used at 1280x960 resolution. It only shows 640x480 in Windows and Linux. An email to the manufacturer sent me to someone out side the company. He was nice, but seem surprised he could only get 640x480 resolution also. I really needed the higher resolution to at least get a large part of the monitor filled with the image. I guess I will be returning the product as it is not what it is stated to be.Followup. After posting this review, FavoritePlus did contact me. To clarify on my part, the video output I am getting is half of the stated amount. I can capture still shots in 1280x960 resolution.I need the video to fill the monitor or close to it so patients can see the video from their chair. FavoritePlus did offer to refund purchase price.Second Follow up.After much looking, I found a software package called Debut Video Capture, while not quite what I wanted it did allow me to go full screen and capture still shots.

Hard to find I.O. camera that matches the description but this one did and came in on time.
