Activa Rigid Wrap Premiuim Plaster Cloth, 5 pounds, White (236A)

I've never done plaster molding before, and this product ticks all the boxes. It's cost effective, easy to use, cut to use with scissors or a craft knife. After the first cylinder of a tower model I'm building, it became smooth and easy to deliver repeatable results. Like concrete,the more you work the surface the smoother the results become as the plaster rises to the top. Takes acrylic paint well and now I've made a new friend in the world of modeling. Too cool/

For my Halloween display this year. I wanted to add a erupting volcano to my island beach. After I built a frame I used this to cover the chicken wire and bucket. Really easy to use. Just cut, dip in water and form it. Dried quickly and stuck to the wire without any additional glue.One recommendation I have is when cleaning up the bowl you use to dip. Dump and rinse outside. I don't like the idea of letting this plaster go into the pipes. I fear too much may stick around and clog things up. Leading to a costly plumbing bill.Still I would completely recommend this product. Good for almost any science fair or decor project you can think of.

I used this for a custom latex mask project to make a plaster bust (life cast) of my boyfriend's head to do my clay sculpt. It was totally safe on his skin, no burning or anything like that, barely even got hot in there (his head and upper chest were totally encased, aside from nose holes). It was perfect for what I needed! Cheap, good quality, and you get a TON compared to the little packages from craft stores. I probably have enough to make another bust leftover (though maybe a smaller one lol). Obviously it didn't capture the finer details of his face which is why alginate is the standard for life-casting, but on a budget for a DIY halloween costume, it was great for me!

Very good value. This costs a fraction of what most other vendors charge, in terms of cost per linear inch. One well known seller of plaster cloth charges about four times as much!Cloth applies easily and hardens fully overnight. So far it's working out very well.

This may be unfair since I've never used any other Plaster Wrap, but I used this and Like it. I was able to make some masks with this by layering them. Plaster Wrap is MESSY but fun and interesting to work with. My end result looked like a cast you would have for a broken arm or leg, perhaps I didn't sand it enough? I plan on buying more soon, but I want it to make a mold that i can use Instamorph or Thermomorph with since my experience has shown that the plastic does not stick to the plaster without the help of glue.

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve been using Rigid Wrap for over 30 years now, and haven’t found any other plaster cloth product that compares. If you buy a cheaper plaster cloth on Amazon, or any craft store, you will be disappointed. Rigid Wrap uses a finer cloth than the others and has more plaster content. Your sculpture will dry faster, have a smoother appearance, and as the name implies, will be more rigid. I highly recommend Activa Rigid Wrap!

About this and made a mountain and aim miniature Chimney Rock for my HO and N scale model trains and it works amazing. I put it on top of great stuff and pink wall insulation foam and it's stuck amazingly and is very strong. Be careful though one of the roles accidentally hit a bucket of water and the bottom portion kind of got ruined so my word of advice is don't keep buckets of water near your work station.

I love rigid wrap. I used to to make a tree. In the past I have used plaster of paris and newspaper, but it is not very strong. Rigid Wrap is extremely strong and easy to use. With this great big 5 pound roll, it is easy to cut off strips to the correct size. A quick dip in water, and it is ready to stick on whatever you are making. It dries very quickly and sets up nice in just a few minutes. This is definitely a great way to go for art projects, big and small.

Worked great making a cast for my rabbit. Probably saved me hundreds of dollars in xrays or casting. Not sure if she got a hairline fracture or why she cant stand, but this immobilized her leg and shes been able to sit up and stand for short periods. Has been on going on 2 weeks and still holding up great.

I bought this to make a belly cast and it worked perfectly. I was worried it would be enough but it was way more then enough. I still have most of the roll left.
