Firm/No Pillowcase To Fit/Gives Full Neck & Head Support
While the material cover is soft and the filling in the pillow itself is soft, there is too much filling stuffed inside. But to be fair I have a serious neck problem. I feel that if we were given the option to remove some of the filling to meet our comfort level then this would be the perfect pillow. I have been trying to find a pillow with that option. I will be cutting the pillow to remove the filling and place it in another pillow that has a zipper on the side to add inside. Over the yrs that pillow stuffing has become lumpy and needed replacing and can’t find another like it or the right filling. Luckily this pillow has the right stuffing so I am happy with my purchase. My husband has the second pillow and does agree with me that it is a bit on the firm side but he likes the firmness of it and it does support his head & neck well and it is comfortable. Only big issue for us is that there are no pillowcases to fit. When trying to fit a pillowcase on it - it makes the pillow way too tight & firm and uncomfortable. They need to make a pillowcase for this pillow. A standard, Queen, king does not fit. UPDATE: 1/13/2025 This order came with 2 pillows. My husband has the 2nd pillow and so far he has no complaints with the pillow. For me to be fair I have serious issues with my neck. I have a lot of hardware in my neck including several small rods in my neck so to find a good pillow to be comfortable is very difficult to find. My only solution is to have a pillow with a zipper which I can remove or add the filling as needed, it just has to be the right kind of filling. This pillow has the right kind of filling to where I can put inside my original pillow that I have. Over time the filling just becomes lumpy and uncomfortable to which I need to refill with new filling. After a long search I found this pillow which had the same kind of filling I’ve been looking for to restuff my pillow. So with that said I can’t really review this product myself except to say that it has the right filling inside to help me with my sleeping but I can say with what my husband tells me which is he has no complaints, in fact he is happy with it and it supports his head & neck well. If you have a serious neck problem this might not be the pillow for you unless you already have a pillow with a zipper and can restuff it with any kind of filling then I do recommend the filling in this pillow. Sorry for the long review but I do hope it helps anyone who is struggling and is in the same situation as me.

Best pillow I’ve ever slept on
We stayed at an AirBNB a few years ago and these were the pillows on the beds. They were so comfortable that we went out and bought them for our home. I’ve since purchased them for another bed in the house. These pillows provide firm support but are still soft. After 2 years, the filling has not collapsed or gotten squashed or anything. I have washed them in the washing machine. I am now purchasing 8 more to cover guest beds and give to my adult kids. The only thing to take note of is that they are big, so it can be tricky and take some effort to get them inside a pillowcase when you change the sheets. You just have to work it in.

allow up three days to expand
I didn't realize they were a vacuum packed. It took 3 days for them to fully expand and one is still bigger than the other. But they are medium firm which is what I was looking for and what it stated Now they are comfortable exactly what I wanted And I am pleased with the product.

No Regrets
Been sleeping on these for over a month and they’ve held shape beautifully! Nice and fluffy, good support.

WORTH THE $$$
I bought these pills in a Queen size, 3 years ago, & am still using them (although i should throw them out, at this point). I highly recommend

Odd, but nice pillows...
These pillows are nice, but strange for me. ..I purchased 2 in queen-size. They are slightly longer than I prefer but doable..and have an odd soft yet firm texture. When you lay the head down ..it sinks into the pillow, but each side comes up. So you have these big sort of firm soft, fluffy pillow ends on each side of your face. If you're a side sleeper, you will automatically try to punch one of the ends down a bit, for the most part, that will be useless. So you will probably end up trying to angle it a bit so that you end up sort of sleeping on the corner sections. (This was for the queen size, for me. The standard may be better.) Also, there really no cool side. If you flip it..it might feel cool for about 2 seconds, but that's it. They are very nice pillows, but I just know I will be ordering something else in the future.

These $30 Pillows Cured My Neck Pain - I've Thrown Out My $80 'Premium' Pillows!
What I Loved (PROS): The Gusseted Design is a Game-Changer - The extra side panel (gusset) creates a true 3D shape that maintains consistent height across the entire pillow. Unlike flat pillows that collapse in the middle, these provide uniform support from edge to edge. This design detail alone makes them superior to most budget pillows and rivals expensive models. Actually Stays Cool Through the Night - I'm a naturally hot sleeper who's skeptical of "cooling" marketing claims. These pillows genuinely sleep cooler than traditional down-alternative pillows. I wake up less frequently to flip to the "cool side," and the fabric doesn't trap heat like many polyester fills do. Not cold, but noticeably cooler than standard pillows. Perfect Medium Firmness for Multiple Sleep Positions - I'm a combination sleeper (side/back), and these work beautifully in both positions. Firm enough to support side sleeping without collapsing, soft enough for comfortable back sleeping without feeling like a brick. My partner (stomach sleeper) finds them comfortable too. That versatility is rare. Exceptional Loft Retention - After 6+ months of nightly use, these pillows still maintain their original height and plumpness. I do the daily fluff-and-reshape routine, but they haven't developed the sad, flat, defeated look that budget pillows typically show after 2-3 months. The fill quality is legitimately impressive. No Chemical Smell Out of Package - Opened these expecting that typical new-pillow off-gassing odor. Nothing. Maybe the faintest "new fabric" smell that disappeared within hours. No airing out needed, ready to use immediately. This indicates better quality materials than cheap alternatives. Machine Washable and Actually Survives - Washed these twice (cold water, gentle cycle, low heat dry) and they came out perfectly. No clumping, no loss of loft, no damage to fabric. Many down-alternative pillows become lumpy disasters after washing. These maintain their integrity beautifully. Hotel-Quality Cover Fabric - The 100% cotton shell has a tight weave that prevents fill migration (no feathers poking through) and feels smooth and cool against skin. The fabric quality alone feels like it belongs on $60+ pillows. No cheap, scratchy polyester covers here. Outstanding Value - TWO Pillows - Getting TWO quality pillows for $25-35 is exceptional value. Most single "premium" pillows cost $50-100. Even if you only like one, you're getting great price-per-pillow. We use both and couldn't be happier. No Weird Lumps or Uneven Fill - The down-alternative fill is distributed evenly throughout. No mysterious lumps, no hollow spots, no areas where fill has migrated leaving flat zones. Consistent comfort from edge to edge. Hypoallergenic Properties Work - My partner has mild dust allergies and has experienced zero issues with these pillows. The synthetic fill doesn't harbor dust mites or allergens like natural down can. Perfect for allergy sufferers who still want plush comfort. Standard Size Fits Pillowcases Perfectly - Exactly 20" x 26" as advertised. Fits standard pillowcases properly without excess fabric bunching or being stretched too tight. Seems basic, but I've tested "standard" pillows that were actually odd dimensions. Reduces Neck and Shoulder Pain - This is personal but significant: my chronic neck stiffness has improved dramatically since switching to these pillows. The proper support alignment has made measurable difference in morning pain levels. Can't guarantee same results for everyone, but worth noting. Quiet - No Crunching or Rustling - Some down-alternative fills make annoying crunching sounds when you move. These are silent. You can shift positions at night without waking yourself (or your partner) with pillow noise. What Could Be Better (CONS): May Be Too Firm for Pure Stomach Sleepers - While my partner (stomach sleeper) finds them acceptable, they're definitely on the firmer side for that position. Pure stomach sleepers who prefer very flat, soft pillows might find these too supportive. Side/back sleepers will love the firmness. Initial Loft is Almost Too High - Fresh out of the package, these are VERY lofty (probably 6-7 inches). I actually found them slightly too tall the first night and had to break them in for 2-3 days. After that adjustment period, they settled to perfect height. Just be prepared for initial puffiness. No Pillow Storage Bag Included - Minor complaint: they arrive in basic plastic packaging that you'll throw away. A reusable storage bag would be nice for when you're washing them or storing extras. Not a dealbreaker but would add perceived value. White Color Shows Stains - Obviously white pillows show everything - makeup, hair products, drool (we're all adults here). You MUST use pillow protectors underneath your pillowcases. The pillows themselves can be washed, but prevention is easier than constant washing. Cooling Effect is Moderate, Not Extreme - While these do sleep cooler than traditional pillows, they're not gel-infused or high-tech cooling pillows. If you're an extreme hot sleeper or in very hot climates without AC, you might need something with more aggressive cooling technology. Drying Takes Time - When washing, these pillows take 60-90 minutes to fully dry (low heat), which is longer than expected. Plan accordingly if you need them same-day. Higher heat might speed process but could damage fill. Gusset Seams Show Slight Wear - After 6 months, the gusseted side seams show very minor thread wear (not tearing, just slight fuzziness). Doesn't affect function at all, purely cosmetic. With proper care, I expect 2+ years of use before replacement needed. Fill Might Be Too Much for Some - These are generously filled, which creates the loft but also makes them fairly substantial. People who prefer minimalist, thin pillows will find these too bulky. There's no option to remove fill for customization. Not Certified Organic - If you specifically need organic materials or eco-friendly certifications, these don't have those credentials. They're standard synthetic down-alternative. Good quality synthetic, but still synthetic. Price Fluctuates - I've seen these range from $24 to $45 for the set depending on sales. Check price history before buying to ensure you're getting the best deal. My Professional Assessment: I review bedding products constantly, and I'm deeply skeptical of budget items because most are genuinely terrible. The viewstar pillows are a legitimate exception - they're budget-priced but not budget-quality. What impressed me most is the gusseted construction, which is typically found only on mid-range to premium pillows ($50-100 range). This design feature provides genuinely better support and loft retention than standard flat construction. The fact that they're including this on a $15/pillow product is remarkable. The cooling properties are real but not revolutionary. These won't replace a gel memory foam cooling pillow if you're an extreme hot sleeper, but they're noticeably cooler than traditional polyester-fill pillows. That's enough for most people. After 6+ months of testing, my biggest surprise is the durability. Budget pillows typically flatten within 8-12 weeks. These are still going strong at 6+ months with daily use. Based on current condition, I estimate 18-24 months of comfortable use before replacement - exceptional for this price point. Real-World Testing Results (6+ Months of Nightly Use): My Experience (Side/Back Sleeper, 165 lbs): Comfort level: Excellent in both positions Neck support: Significantly improved neck alignment, reduced morning stiffness Temperature: Noticeably cooler than previous pillows, especially in summer Loft retention: Still approximately 5.5-6 inches after 6 months (started at 6.5-7) Maintenance: Washed twice, both times emerged perfectly Overall satisfaction: Would repurchase without hesitation Partner Experience (Stomach/Side Sleeper, 140 lbs): Comfort level: Very good for side, acceptable for stomach Neck support: Good support without excessive elevation Temperature: Appreciated cooling properties Loft preference: Initially too high, perfect after break-in period Allergy response: Zero allergic reactions (mild dust allergies) Overall satisfaction: Happy with purchase Guest Feedback (3 Different Visitors): Comments: "Really comfortable," "Better than my pillows at home," "Where did you get these?" All three guests asked about brand/source No complaints from any guest across different sleep positions Validates that comfort isn't just personal preference Who Should Buy These: Side and back sleepers wanting proper support Hot sleepers needing cooler pillows (moderate level) Budget-conscious shoppers wanting quality without overspending People with neck/shoulder pain from inadequate pillow support Allergy sufferers needing hypoallergenic options Guest room/spare bedroom setups College students furnishing dorm rooms First apartment/home owners building bedding collection Anyone replacing flat, worn-out pillows Airbnb/rental property hosts People wanting to try gusseted pillows without major investment Who Should Skip These: Pure stomach sleepers preferring very flat pillows Extreme hot sleepers needing maximum cooling technology Those specifically requiring organic/natural materials Anyone preferring memory foam or specialty pillow types People who like very soft, cloud-like pillows (these are medium-firm) Those with unlimited budgets seeking luxury bedding Anyone allergic to polyester fills Proper Care & Maintenance (Maximizing Lifespan): Daily: Fluff and reshape each morning Allow to air out (don't make bed immediately) Use quality pillow protectors under pillowcases Weekly: Remove from pillowcase to air out 2-3 hours Gently knead to redistribute fill if needed Check for any stains or issues Monthly: Wash pillowcases and protectors Inspect pillow condition Deep fluff by hand-kneading throughout Every 3-4 Months: Wash pillows (see washing instructions below) Replace pillow protectors if showing wear Assess loft and support - replace if significantly degraded Expected Lifespan: Budget pillows (typical): 6-12 months These pillows (observed): 18-24+ months with proper care Premium pillows: 2-3 years Cost per month of use: If these last 18 months: $0.83/month per pillow Premium $100 pillow lasting 30 months: $3.33/month Value advantage: 4x more economical Washing Instructions (Tested & Verified): Preparation: Remove all pillowcases and protectors Check for any tears or damage Pre-treat any visible stains with gentle stain remover Washing: Use front-loading or top-loading WITHOUT agitator (agitators can damage fill) Wash TWO pillows together (balances load) Cold or warm water, gentle cycle Use mild detergent (half normal amount) Add extra rinse cycle to remove all detergent Drying: Low heat setting Add 2-3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls (helps refluff) Dry in 20-minute intervals, fluffing between cycles Total time: 60-90 minutes Ensure COMPLETELY dry (damp fill = mildew) Post-Wash: Hand-fluff vigorously Allow to air out 2-3 hours before using Check for any damage or clumping My Results: Washed twice over 6 months, both times pillows emerged perfect with no loft loss or damage. Sleep Position Guide: Side Sleepers (Best Match): Why they work: Gusseted design maintains height, keeps spine aligned Optimal use: Single pillow, centered under head/neck Tip: May need 1-2 nights to adjust if coming from flat pillows Support rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Back Sleepers (Excellent): Why they work: Medium firmness prevents head from sinking too far Optimal use: Single pillow, or half-pillow under knees for lower back Tip: Perfect height for maintaining neutral neck position Support rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Combination Sleepers (Very Good): Why they work: Versatile firmness works in multiple positions Optimal use: One pillow, adjust position as you shift Tip: You may prefer different loft levels for different positions Support rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stomach Sleepers (Adequate): Why they're challenging: May be too thick for pure stomach sleeping Optimal use: Try hugging pillow or placing under stomach instead Tip: If sleeping on stomach, you might prefer thinner pillow Support rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Comparing to Specific Competitors: vs. Beckham Hotel Collection ($35-40 for 2): viewstar: Better gusseted construction, cooler sleeping Beckham: Slightly softer, more "cloud-like" Winner for support: viewstar vs. Utopia Bedding ($20-25 for 2): viewstar: Superior loft retention, better construction Utopia: Cheaper, acceptable for short-term use Winner for longevity: viewstar vs. Coop Home Goods ($75-100 for 1): viewstar: Better value, good enough for most people Coop: Adjustable fill, premium materials, longer lifespan Winner for value: viewstar (unless you need adjustable) vs. MyPillow ($50-80 for 1): viewstar: Better price, no aggressive marketing MyPillow: Unique fill, polarizing comfort (love or hate) Winner for most people: viewstar (safer choice) vs. Memory Foam Pillows ($40-100): viewstar: Traditional feel, cooler, easier to wash Memory foam: Contouring support, can sleep hot Winner: Depends on preference (both valid choices) Troubleshooting Common Issues: Problem: Too firm/high Solution: Sleep on them 3-5 nights to break in. They soften slightly with use. Problem: Too soft/flat Solution: Fluff vigorously daily. If already broken in (6+ months), may be time to replace. Problem: Sleeping hot Solution: Use breathable pillow protectors and pillowcases (cotton, bamboo). Avoid synthetic fabrics. Problem: Fill feels lumpy after washing Solution: Wasn't fully dried. Re-dry with tennis balls, fluffing every 15 minutes. Problem: Neck pain persists Solution: May need different loft height. Try adjusting with second pillow or pillow with different firmness. Problem: Odor develops Solution: Air out weekly. Wash every 3-4 months. Use pillow protectors to prevent absorption of body oils. Investment Analysis: Initial Cost: $30 for 2 pillows = $15 per pillow Supplemental Costs: Pillow protectors (2): $15-20 Quality pillowcases (if needed): $15-30 Total investment: $45-65 Cost Per Night (18-month lifespan): $30 ÷ 540 nights = $0.055 per night Less than 6 cents per night for quality sleep Comparing to Alternatives: Fast food meal: $10-15 (gone in 20 minutes) Streaming service: $15/month (entertainment) These pillows: $15 each (affects 1/3 of your life for 18+ months) Conclusion: Among the best value-to-impact ratios of any purchase you can make. Final Verdict: The viewstar bed pillows are one of those rare products that make you question the entire pricing structure of an industry. How are these $15/pillow when comparable quality typically costs $50-100? I don't have the answer, but I'm grateful they exist. After 6+ months of nightly testing, these pillows have exceeded every expectation I had for budget bedding. They've maintained their loft, stayed cool through summer, washed beautifully, and most importantly - they've genuinely improved my sleep quality and reduced my chronic neck pain. That's not marketing hyperbole; that's measurable improvement in daily quality of life. Are these the absolute best pillows money can buy? No. Ultra-premium $200 pillows with advanced materials exist for people with specific needs. But for 95% of people seeking comfortable, supportive, cooling pillows at a reasonable price, these deliver everything you need and nothing you don't. The value proposition is simply outstanding. Two quality pillows for $30 represents one of the best bedding investments available. Even if you only get 18 months of use (I expect more), that's exceptional value for something that affects 6-8 hours of every single day. Would I buy them again? Already planning to when these eventually need replacement. Also recommended to four friends, all of whom reported back positively. Recommendation: ESSENTIAL BUY for anyone needing quality pillows on a budget ✅

Very clean, nice, no chemical odor,
Very nice light to medium firm pillows. They are well made and could be a bit firmer to my liking but for the price I will use both of them at the same time for sleeping, I am a back and side sleeper. My husband likes a softer pillow so he uses the "soft" selection. These pillows fluff up right out of the plastic bags they are shipped in and following the "Fluffing instructions", There is no odor, and I am hoping they will hold up when laundering and re-fluffing for at least 3 or 4 months. This si my first time purchasing this brand but I am happy with them so far and seem to be worth the price, They were shipped right away and delivered the next day. I recommend them.

Hotel quality at home
Our pillows were in need of an upgrade and my partner (who is very particular with his pillow firmness) has always insisted to never buy pillows online. Despite his reluctance, I couldn't stop myself from buying these after reading all the promising reviews, and we were not let down. The price point of these pillows is a bargain considering the quality and comfort... it literally feels like sleeping on giant, fluffy marshmallows. The pillows plump up and fill out our queen size pillow cases beautifully. It is almost a struggle (in a good way, like when you've had a 10/10 meal and struggle to pull your jeans up kind of struggle) to get the pillow cases on, compared to our last pillows that left extra pillow case fabric hanging loose on the sides. I found the pillows to be a little bit high initially to sleep on (as a side sleeper and being 5'2), but I quickly adjusted and now struggle to leave the bed each morning, buried in comfort and cosiness. My partner (6'2) loves the height, softness, and supportiveness of the pillows, and now has faith in buying pillows online. He often bends the pillows in half to further elevate his neck when watching TV, and the pillows retain shape and fluffiness perfectly. Like me, the only regret you might feel after buying these pillows is wishing you had bought more.

Too thick for sleeping on
I didn’t find these to be cooling at all. These are really fluffy and probably good as decorative pillows to add to a stack on your bed or to support your back while sitting up in bed, but they are too thick for sleeping. On my back my neck was at a really harsh angle, and on my side, the pillow fluffed up in front of my face making me feel a bit claustrophobic. Not for me.

The best pillows
These may be the best pillows I’ve purchase, exactly how I want a pillow to be and soooo comfortable

Fantastic pillows that are excellent for beds with a gap at the headboard!
I chose this two-pack of king-size "down alternative" pillows to replace a couple of older pillows that were just not staying fluffed and were due for replacement. These pillows are BIG. While not much deeper than a standard pillow, they are WIDE. I wasn't aware of just how wide king-size pillows are but two of these easily span the width of my entire queen size bed. I love this size as it not only makes for a comfortable pillow, the width is great for sitting up in bed to read as it makes for a wide, stable base to lean against the headboard. The pillows themselves do remind me of hotel pillows in that they're beautifully soft but have a decent amount of spring-back to them. Once of my least favourite pillow stuffings is down where your head just sinks into the pillow completely. These have enough bounce in them to support my head nicely while remaining wonderfully soft. This pair of pillows do come vacuum sealed and as the box and listing indicate, it does take a little time for them to bounce back and restore their full fluffiness. I simple left these to sit for a day but the instructions mention that a run through the dryer will speed this up. Seeing that I didn't have king-size pillows before, I went out and purchased a couple of a king-size pillow cases and I couldn't be happier with them. You get a lot of pillow at the current price of $63 for this pair. Being synthetic, I like the fact that I can wash these, with bleach if necessary, and know that they'll dry fully-sterilized. Great quality pillows but just mind the size, king-size pillows are BIG!
