I noticed that some of the magnets in my batch are considerably stronger or weaker then others. The weaker ones I got in my batch could still hold up 2- 8x10 pieces of paper on my refrigerator to one magnet, but just barely. The strongest magnets upper limit was 5- 8x10s. It seemed that most of my magnets were of the 'stronger variety' but I could see how people would be very disappointed with the strength of the weaker ones, and more so if the majority of their batch were those, or they thought they were all like that.With the  CMS NeoPin® 24 Pieces of Assorted Color Neodymium Magnetic Pushpins - Can Hold 16 Pieces of Paper  I was able to hold 13 8x10s to my refrigerator. These are great magnets, but I like having the larger/ weaker ones for my preschool aged kids.I did have the residue issue, but after the initial rub off, it hasn't been back. You may want to wash them before letting your kids play with them.Something to note, magnet 'strength' will always vary with what you are attaching it to. There are some metal surfaces that magnets stick better to then my refrigerator (and other metal objects worse), so I do feel like the 16 pieces of paper claim is valid on the neopins, and you may get different results.If you are looking for lots of colorful magnets, and are okay with using multiple magnets on heavier items these are a great buy. If you need strong magnets get the neopins. I'm actually pretty pleased with having both sets.

We got these to use for fun learning activities for our 2.5 yr old daughter. We wanted to use them for things like making a pattern and having her copy it or placing them on do-a-dot pictures. For this purpose they work well enough.There are a lot of them in the box and the colors are bright making them appealing to our daughter. They are about the size of a nickel and rounded on top. For our purposes, this worked.I docked them a few stars however because straight out of the box a few of the magnets had separated from the colorful plastic circle part and needed regluing. After a few uses about a fourth of the box has needed regluing.Also they leave black smudges on anything they touch - fingers, clothes, paper, anything. Not great for kids and not great if you want to use them in an office or classroom environment. I'm not sure why they do this, but washing does not help.Altogether not too disappointing but would not buy again.

We use these in our Homeschool with my preschooler. I wanted something different (better) than pom pom magnets, because the magnets keep coming off the pom poms. :) This is a great product, but the shipping is crazy high. I sell on Amazon, Ebay and Etsy, so know that these do not cost $9 to ship.... I purchased them anyway (since I could not find them anywhere else....) I also know that shipping is a refection on the seller, not the product..... but when you are looking to buy, you need to factor in the shipping costs.

We're a small preschool and bought these with the intention of using them in the classroom; the kids love them (especially the way they can make "pairs" with some--and not with others--so surprising to preschoolers!) We use them with the magnetic play sheets from [...] as well as for general sorting and magnet play. They do tend to leave faint smudges on plain paper, but since we laminate most of the pages, that's not really an issue for us, though it might be for office-type uses. Overall, very well suited for the purpose for which we bought them--but might not be as useful for holding multiple sheets of paper on a board.

Product is as advertised and perfect for my intended use which is to have students discover and demonstrate numerical relationships by making arrays of colored dots on a magnetic white board. I have looked at local stores such as Staples and several other websites and hadn't find anything that would give me this many same-size magnetic markers for such a low price. Magnets are easy to manipulate. They are not super-strong, which is actually perfect for my use. Some customers have complained about shipping price, but I bought 3 packs at once, so the shipping price per pack was not bad for me. Arrived on time.

I am a third grade teacher and our school district has instituted the Marzano scales in all classrooms. I was looking for a way students could post to the scale on my whiteboard which was could be done quickly. Writing and erasing was not effective, post it notes loose their stickiness, and stickers have to be replaced. These magnets are the perfect size as they do not take up much room, but are large enough for little fingers to grab easily. I used permanent marker to write each students number on the magnet and now I can see which students may need more help with the day's lesson.

I am happy with these magnetic buttons. I use them for my childcare crew. Very strong magnets. Use with supervision around kids!

I purchased these for my Family Child Care for the kids to use as sorting and counting on a cookie sheet with sorting and counting papers. I only bought one set to start with because I wasn't sure if I would like them. Well I love them and I am going to be buying three more sets, if not more for all the kids. They love using them and you would be surprised at what they can come up with when they use them on the cookie sheets.
