Numrich Luger P-08 Checkered Walnut Grips

Probably the poorest quality grips I have ever had my hands on. Even worse than the ones that were on the gun that made me order them. Checkering is much more coarse than pictured and looks like it was cut with a spoon (a dull one at that).Finish is poor like they slathered on boiled linseed oil and put it in the package (sticky). And you can tell the wood was stained, which would be fine if it was done with any effort at all, which it wasn’t.Contacted seller before writing this with no response. They issued me a return slip and I should get a refund after they get the grips back, thank god.Don’t buy them. Found some about $10 cheaper on EBay that actually looked ok.

Hard to find hand grips, so good for that. One side fits perfect. The side with the mag release needed some carving modification to fit the gun. It's still just a little loose. The wood stain was still tacky and odiferous, not a super great staining job. But again, not an easy item to find, so an extra star for that.

There are many different manufacturers out there who offer these sets and you cannot be sure to get identical products when ordering.The set I received is brand new and the checkering is of good quality.It needs hand fitting to your and my Luger frame, in my case a 1917 DWM imperial Luger.A sharp knife and a little time later the grips fit nicely to the frame. May do some fine sanding to smooth-en out the edges later.

The grip on the safety side is all wrong for a WWII DWM Luger. The top left of the grip should NOT dip down, leaving the frame exposed. The same side also does not have the tabs milled in to the top to mate and lock in the frame, top first. Excellent color, cutting, and well preserved, however. Quick shipping and good packaging.

Delivery was prompt. The fit was very good. The grips needed no modification to fit my pistol perfectly. The new grips dressed up my old Luger.
