desertcart.com: Stelucca Amazing Shields Cat Scratch Furniture Protector - 10 Pack XL | 17" x 12" Sheets, Sofa Guard, Claw-Deterrent Pet Coverage, Self-Adhesive with 50 Twist Pins, Cuttable to Fit : Pet Supplies

Review: PERFECT CLEAR PROTECTORS! - It's not often that I spend so much time reading reviews, however, I just purchased a new leather couch and a couple months prior to that, I became the proud momma to a very precious 2 month old kitten. So with that being said, I knew I needed to purchase a solution to his desire to SCRATCH my furniture before it arrived. I have a few cat scratching posts, which he uses often, however, I have seen him at times try to use the corner of the fabric couch. After reading many reviews, I found these excellent clear adhesive protectors. I'm a first time cat owner, so I wasn't sure what to expect and how much scratching they really do. Despite having many alternatives for him to scratch, there's something appealing to them to want to claw at the fabric. These sheets come delivered FLAT, which is so nice to be able to position the protector into the desired place and then slowly remove the back covering. After I had it on and in place, I used a hardcover book to gently spread over the area to make sure it was wrinkle free and securely adhered. The sheets are made of a pretty thick vinyl material and are completely clear and unnoticeable, which is a great feature to have. My cat hasn't even gone near the new leather couch, so I haven't had to use them there. (Yet!) I put the protectors on the back and sides of my fabric recliner, which is another place he likes to sneak up on for a lazy stretch and a scratch. I watched him try to do his maneuver over the vinyl and he looked at me with all kinds of confusion because it didn't satisfy him at all. The sheets have been on now for 4 days and he hasn't even gone near the recliner! I'd say this particular brand of protectors are an incredible value, worth every cent, and I'm so happy I had them ready and waiting. They're not difficult to apply at all and I'd say almost anyone of any age can easily do them. They can be very easily cut to fit your exact size area that you want to cover. I ended up using one of the large sheets to cover the back of my recliner which is positioned in a way that when you walk into the room, you see the back of the recliner and the sheet protector is not visible at all, unless you were actually looking for it. This packet I purchased comes with 4 large protectors and 24 twist pins. I have not needed to use the pins, but I can see that they'd be very helpful and necessary if you have a stubborn cat who really wants to scratch. I'd recommend using this brand of sheets over some of the others that come wound up tight in a tube. I ended up returning the ones that came in the tube because I just could not get them to lay flat. I am going to purchase a second set of this brand to have as back ups or if my cat decides to find another area that he wants to scratch on. This brand comes in other sizes too and comes in a kit with some catnip and an alternative scratch board for your kitty. This is definitely a 5-STAR product and I've already shared a sheet with my neighbor who said she can't believe how great they work. I'd recommend to anyone who has an indoor cat that likes to scratch!
Review: Use the provided pins! - These protectors are great for keeping my cat from scratching my boxspring under my bed! They are made of a heavy clear plastic so my cat can't scratch through them. The package comes with pins that you can screw them into the furniture to help keep the plastic on. Applying them was really easy! Just cut to size, remove the paper backing, and stick to the furniture. If desired, screw the pins into place. I would recommend using all 4 screws on each piece of plastic. I originally used 2, one for each top corner, but the bottoms started pulled away. I will be adding the bottom 2 pins now. As you can see in one of the pictures, I didn't need all 4 for each piece on the sides because the bed frame is holding them in place. These are well worth the money!

## Features

- Sturdy Physical Barrier: Stelucca Amazing Shields use 1.2mm thick PVC vinyl to create a firm, clear shield that helps deter cats from clawing fabric furniture; the rigid surface discourages scratching by removing the satisfying texture cats seek. Made from durable PVC for a sturdy, rigid shield designed for fabric and upholstered surfaces; a sturdy alternative to thin adhesive tape for long-term fabric protection. Not compatible with leather, faux leather, velvet, or microfiber
- Fabric-Friendly Adhesive Design: Each sheet features a self-adhesive pad engineered for upholstered surfaces, leaving minimal residue on most fabric types when removed; we always recommend testing on a small hidden area before full application to confirm compatibility with your specific upholstery. The dual attachment system, adhesive pads plus 50 included twist pins, gives you flexibility in how each panel is secured for added confidence
- Dual Attachment System Stays Put: The biggest concern with any furniture protector is whether it holds when cats push back, and Stelucca addresses this with both self-adhesive pads and 50 twist pins included in every pack. The pins provide supplemental hold on upholstered fabric surfaces; test on a discreet area first to confirm fit. Together, both methods keep panels firmly in place even during determined scratching sessions
- 10 XL Sheets for Real Coverage: Each pack includes 10 sheets measuring 17" x 12", totaling over 1,200 sq inches of protection to cover sofa panels, chair arms, recliners, and corners. Scissors-cuttable for a custom fit on curved arms and irregular shapes. Designed for fabric and upholstery surfaces; not intended for leather, faux leather, velvet, or microfiber. Test adhesion on your specific fabric type before committing to full placement
- Clear Design, Barely There Look: These panels are transparent and nearly unnoticeable against your furniture, so your sofa, sectional, or accent chair keeps its look while staying protected. Perfect for cat owners guarding a new couch, renters protecting a deposit, or multi-cat households managing high-traffic scratch zones. Your decor stays front and center; your upholstery stays intact

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved my couch!
*by G***1 on January 25, 2020*

The first day I had my new couch, my cat decided to put his mark on it with his (newly trimmed) claws. After researching lots of options, I ordered a set of these plastic shields. I'm so glad I did! He isn't able to scratch through them and has given up trying. As some reviewers have said, they are visible but not distracting as you can see in the photo. I would rather see the clear plastic than have the fabric destroyed. I haven't needed to use the push pins as the adhesive seems strong enough, even though I have moved a few of the panels around. My cat loves the scratch pad that came with the set. He's very possessive of it and seems to like it better than the other ones he has access to. I really like that it was included as part of the product. I gave the product 4 stars over all just due to the size of the panels. It would be great if there was a size bigger than this "X large" or if more could come in a package. This is a pretty small couch and I needed to place a second order. It was fun to get the free gift of cat-themed chair socks in the second package. I already owned a whole set of them and now I have back up. I definitely recommend this product.
