**Q: how do you lock the blade on this knife ?**
A: The blade is always locked.  You need to press down with your thumb to release the blade and slide it forward and back.

**Q: Can you snap off the blades to have new edge before replacing the blade entirely?**
A: Yes you can.  I have been using these blades for years.  As the holidays approaches, I will be snapping off blades all the time.
