3 stars, and by that I mean it's a good buy, especially as there are very few alternatives. The key gap is the biggest problem, slight tear after a few months, and looser than you'd like due to design limitations. I don't see anyone doing better with the same materials.Getting the red cover has been an absolute must for me - with so many similar FOBs out there, it makes it very easy to point it out to staff when claiming your vehicle.As well, it just makes it much much easier to find your keys in the rushed morning when you put them down and the black FOB could be hidden by something as simple as a shadow.So 3 stars. I don't expect it to last a year - the fit is imperfect, but it is much better than any product I've tried. I will happily re-buy it when it does fail.

Silicone is fine (quality, fit, finish). Would have given a 5 however, as mentioned in the other reviews, this product (the silicon) has a very, very strong (chemical) odor. I read the the other reviews before purchasing so I was prepared. I was able to remove the strong (chemical) odor by washing these several times. I used very hot water anddawn dish soap the first wash/dry, for the second I used very hot water and a scented antibacterial hand soap, for the third final wash/dry I used a scented lotion hand soap. These 3 washes seemed to do the trick. Now the covers have an ever so slightly recognizable scent of silicone/rubber found on many other products, a very lite scent, not even an odor.

Update - After a week of use and an initial soapy wash, the smell has subsided. Still fits perfectly. Changed to 4 stars from 1.Fits perfectly on my '18 Golf R key fobs, however they have a very strong chemical smell, some might cause some people to sick and gag. The scent gets on everything it touches. Trying out some methods to remove the scent. I wouldn't recommend it strictly because of the smell. From potentially 5 stars to 1.

I’ve had the cover on my key for a few months. It works, even though the covers don’t fit perfectly. I’ve tried stretching the covers a bit, but still they are just a bit too small. I’ve got a 2018 GTi mk7.5. With smart key, so I don’t have to ever actually use the key. I’ve dropped the fob a few times and if it falls anywhere the cover is, 100% protected. Overall I like the cover, just wish it fit a bit better

This doesn't cover the key fob... it leaves a HUGE gap for the key blade. When you pull it out of your pocket, the cover comes off easily and every time because of the huge gap. On these keys, you don't need the blade to pop out. If you do, your fob battery is dead, so you'd have to take this off anyways. So this cover was disappointing. I would have given 5 stars if the large gap wasn't there.

It would be better with a remote start but the fact that the key has to flip out makes it less solid. It does still fit very well and it makes it less likely to slide out of your pocket (also harder to get out sometimes. The buttons are slightly harder to press, as expected. The color does look pretty nice and I’ve had mine for several months now. The first one is still looking new but if it were to break I still have the second one as a back up.

Buy with confidence! Does exactly as described. We have silicone key covers for all our car keys. My wife just leased a new 2019 VW Tiguan SE 4Motion. The plastic keys gets destroyed without the silicone key covers. The key is also very slippery with the cover the key won’t slip out of your hands. The cover fits very well and the side switch blade key comes out as it should. We bought 2 one black and one blue.

I was really happy with this fob cover. It looks really sharp and protects the fob from getting beat up in my pockets. It fit snugly and I didn't notice any smell from the silicone as others had commented. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. My only complaint is that the silicone gets hung up on the fabric of whatever pocket it's in. It's not a dealbreaker in my opinion.

Product arrived on time and fit perfectly. Will def buy a few more.
