Great quiet compressor
Great air compressor super quiet. Work well with my detailing tools and some of my mechanical tools as well.

Sturdy and quiet.
Solid. I was somewhat surprised at the weight of the compressor, but it moves easily on its wheels. While not whisper quiet, it is much quieter than any compressors Iโve had experience with in the past. And it holds air when not in use. I was busy in the house when it was delivered, but sounded like it was dropped off by a lift truck. It was left right in front of my gate door. Perfect.

Remarkably Quiet and High Quality Compressor
After extensive research, I bought this compressor to replace the painfully loud compressor I've used for years. The construction and finish are very nice, and the quality rubber tires make it easy to move around. The first run was music to my ears. With my basement workshop's concrete floor and walls I was not able to match the stated 68dB noise level. My noise meter logged 78dB at point blank range, but it dropped rapidly to 65dB when 8 to 10 feet away. This is a huge improvement on the tooth-rattling 95dB of my old compressor. But the dB meter doesn't tell the whole story; the Stealth compressor is not only quieter, but the note is much less grating than the clatter of my old beast. I'd liken it to the difference between 4-stroke versus 2-stroke engines - more of a soft purr than a clatter. My one and only quibble is that I wish Stealth made a compressor larger than 20 gallons; my old tank is 33 gallons, but I can certainly live with that. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and am now thinking of buying a portable size for my garage.

Worked great the first time I used it...
Seemed great, not a bad price for the features. Took about 2 minutes to get up to full pressure. Pretty quiet compared to my old compressor. The second time I tried to use it, it did not work. It only made a humming noise for about 10 seconds and then tripped the breaker every time I tried to use it. Hadn't had it for maybe 2 weeks. It was not eligible for replacement either per Amazon? I had to ship it back for a refund which was also an issue. The original box was damaged when it was shipped to me and the packing foam fell apart into multiple pieces when I took it out of the box so I had to get a second company to come and pick it up to repack it. The contact form Stealth has listed on Amazon's site kept giving me an error message when I tried to send them information. So their customer service department is essentially nonexistent since you can't contact them. Overall not worth the hassle to have to return this 2 weeks after I got it. I won't buy another compressor from Stealth since they don't seem to stand behind their products. Maybe if they had just replaced it with a working model I would give them a better review.

10 stars for tough!
When this arrived via UPS, the delivering driver came to the house and got me to come look at the box before unloading it. It was almost completely destroyed and had been profusely taped up making it look even worse. We took it off the truck, brought it into my garage and unpacked it. There was not a mark , dent or scratch on it. I could not believe it! Plugged it in, ran the break in procedure and all the test which it passed with flying colors! Itโs a keeper and continues to fulfill itโs duty with zero issues. It is the quietest air compressor I have ever used. Good job Stealth for building, what is at this point, a very good product!

Better make sure you have the power and wiring to handle this
Great unit but will not start up with air in the tank. I believe that is due to the size wiring I have going to the barn. I have to empty the tank completely before it will even try to start up. Continuous operation, such as sandblasting, is not possible. I have to empty the tank, start it with the valve open, shut the valve, fill the tank, open the line pressure and use all the air before it becomes too weak to do perform its task. Then I start the whole process all over again. That being said, this unit is quieter than most and appears to be well made. Even with my issues, a full tank will last a while if you are just airing up tires. That, in itself, is much better than using the smaller air tanks to fill up tires. With those it takes about a tank a tire which is time consuming and annoying. One last thing. If you have the wiring problem that I have, DO NOT LEAVE THIS COMPRESSOR PLUGGED IN!!! At best, when it bleeds down and tries to pressurize, you will throw a breaker. At worst you could burn up your compressor......or your barn/house/shop.

I Love It!
I'm amazed at how quiet this unit is. I'm used to compressors sounding like a jackhammer in my small shop. This unit makes half the noise, it's actually so quiet I at first couldn't believe it. It builds up pressure quickly and does all I can ask of a small compressor. I don't know yet about longevity, but if it lasts it is by far the best small compressor I have ever owned. My last compressor was a cheapie, although it was an oil type, it lasted less than 2 years. This is the first oil-less compressor I have ever owned, I'll have to see if they live as long, but at my age and considering how little I use it I expect it to last my lifetime. And I did mention how incredibly quiet it is?

It IS quieter than most
So you will not want this next to your bedside, but it is quieter than other (even smaller) air compressors I have had in the past. Set up was pretty straight forward and easy. My biggest complaint is that it is heavy and not the easiest to maneuver around. It can be done, but will take some strength. Lifting it up to a truck bed will certainly be a chore. If you are just using in your shop - I think it is great. I also use mine to blow out my sprinkler, so need to move it around a bit more, but it is certainly better than a 6 gallon for that job. Overall I would recommend. My complaint is self induced, since I bought a 20 gallon - it will be heavy
