MAHLEOX 258D Oil Filter - Oil Filter with Gasket/Gasket Set

UPDATE: The last two filter changes resulted in the bottom tip of the filter breaking off resulting in the tedious removal prior to insertion of new filter. They claim " superior structural integrity " But when comparing it to AC Delco you will notice the tip of the Delco is of a thicker plastic. These Mahle are not made in Germany. Manufactured in India. The Delco is also German designed ( Hengst ) and Made in USA. Never had one crumble and I perform numerous oil changes on five vehicles. Two of them are Chevy Equinox. I now have 4 Mahle filters left purchased here and from another vendor. Buy the Hengst German/USA Filter. Rated five stars so my review isn"t flagged and removed.

OEM fit and appears to be just as good as what Saab pushes out. The recommended exchange is 15K miles with 100% Synthetic, not sure about that. While GM's spectrophotometer still had 24% remaining on oil life, I think it could have been changed easily around 7500 miles rather than the 11000 this one came out at. It was dark, no signs of acid yet but filter (same) was still intact.

This filter is great. It is all I use. Most other brands are collapsed or crushed after oil change. The Mahle has never appeared damaged after 5000 miles. Always using Mobil one full synthetic. Thank you Mahle for making a quality filter.
