Budget Travel Adventures Await
A great budget travel book that offers practical advice, slice of life moments and some ideas for your next trip. I'd never considered the Spanish Canary Islands for a holiday until I read how it could be done for under $1000. Now I'm looking at how I can use this for a budget getaway because I am long over do!

Mostly the Author's diary
This book is mostly a diary of the author's travels with some tips thrown in. Many of the tips are repeated several times throughout the book. The book also seems to be written by a person whose primary language is not English. Somewhat hard to read in some spots. I thought it would have more tips in it then there were. Somewhat disappointed.

Diary entries and sleeping on park benches
If you're an 18-year-old boy who doesn't mind sleeping on park benches and rocks, this might be the book for you. Seriously, that is some of the travel advice in this book. A lot of the book is taken up by entries from the author's teenage-era diary, which are not all that interesting or helpful unless you're 17y.o. and have never traveled outside your home city. There are a few tips but they are repeated multiple times throughout the book (to increase book length, I'm guessing). I'm an adventurous person (I moved to Russia for a few years and I've traveled extensively throughout the United States) and I was hoping for good tips to reduce costs. If that's what you're looking for too, there are other books that actually give workable tips for low-cost travel. This book doesn't. To top it all off, the author does not appear to be a native English speaker, and did not take the time/money to have the book edited.

Frustrating
This book was completely blocked out until chapter four! Like it had been censored. Then from that point on it was hit and miss. There might only be half a dozen words on any given page. What I could read was very basic and poorly written.

General tips
I liked this book well enough, however I felt like more space was dedicated to WHY you should travel on a budget, not how. I was really looking for some more specific details. The best parts of Budget Traveling 101 were the author's journal entries. Be prepared for many spelling and grammatical errors.

Very budget travel tips
I went into this book expecting to read tips on saving money when traveling. A lot of the suggestions were questionable and bordered on things like sleeping on benches and staying in hostels. Would have liked to have seen more of a breakdown on daily expenses instead of just a diary entry about their travels and how they stayed on benches instead of renting a hotel room.

wow - talk about quality!!!
The travel diary sections in this book should be in a book by themselves but they are included and that's a super deal and read! I love the section on earning money while traveling. You gotta pick this one up!

Good info but too much personal data.
Would like more reference to how to do what she had done. Not what she had done as an example. Maybe how she researched her trips beforehand.
