But given the cost is less than $50 bucks while be cheap especially since it is an old part and other components can go bad as well. I would just replace the whole part. Typical systems include a jerking motion from the car and the vsa light coming on and staying on. Some time both check engine light and vsa light will be on. If this happens pull over where its safe turn off car and turn back on. If it keeps happening then you know you have a problem and this would be your solution. It is held in my 3 10 mm bolts. You need to first remove the 2 clips for the sensor. You can't see the bolts so you need to kind of feel for them and use a deep socket. You may also need an extention. Your make and model may require additional steps but over all take off 2 clips and pull out 3 bolts good luck. Also reset code if you have a code reader. Oh and before you even start look at the part on your car and this one to make sure they are the same.
