Be Patient
These took a long time to bloom. I was a bit impatient with my impatients. I also want to note the closer they are planted together the taller the plants are. I had a very high germination rate with mine and ended up putting them close together the result is my plants are about 2' tall which is taller than I expected. they are very strong and hearty I would not hesitate to buy again just be sure you start them VERY early for the season as they take a while to actually bloom.

Best value for planting a flower garden in the shade
About a 70% germination rate, which is excellent. If they die now, it is on me. Follow the directions and they will start to grow. After 10 days. Add seeds to the chambers that did not grow. I have two trays of 50 each and two trays of 72 chambers each. I added 4 seeds to the larger chambers and I only have 4 out of the 100 barren. I only added 1 seed to the smaller 72 chamber tray, that is how I determined the germination rate.Still growing great, about 25 days in. See second picture. It is mid July and finally warm here on Long Island. These plants are now growing leaps and bounds. I have 1000s of flowers on the approximately 244 plants that I transplanted into my garden. Look at the third picture, That is two plants stuck between my air conditioners. I suspect by Labor Day my entire garden will be covered in red flowers.Just added a video in mid August of a small portion of my garden. Amazing plants with thousands of flowers.

Didn't germinate as they should
I have bought from this company for several years with not many germination issues, this year for some reason I didn't get the same results with all the impations, and when I messaged Outside Pride they were very rude and said it was my fault. I didn't have a problem with germination of seeds that I saved from last year after my new seeds didn't, so you tell me what's wrong????? The rest of my greenhouse plants are great even the marigold seeds that I bought from Outside Pride!

My first time starting impatiens from seeds and I HIGHLY recommend!
Remarkable germination rate! Started in seed mix, using 12 cell trays with lids that use small LED lights on heat mats. I'd say at least 90% germination that led to successful transplants. They are beginning to blossom now, approx 11 weeks after planting. I'm in Zone 3b and they have hardened off beautifully outdoors. Looking forward to seeing these add some color to our retaining wall. *update* 7/26/23 plants are HUGE and in full blossom. The impatiens are taller than the geraniums with most stems comparable to rhubarb in size. I've only fertilized twice with fish emulsion. Some plants grew in pinks, burgundy, white and coral which really bothered me a month ago but the red blooms outweigh them now.

Slow growing
I didn’t have much success planting the seeds in the pots directly. Almost none germinated. I was more successful germinating seeds on wet paper towels and then carefully transplanting them into the pots. They’re very slow to grow. It takes weeks for them to even develop a second set of leaves after the tiny two that pop out of the seed. I am nowhere near seeing buds, but I’m hopeful. I’m glad I started in January. Maybe by April they’ll be blooming. They’re just in pots set by a sunny window, no special lights. My intention is to set the pots outside in the spring.

Impatient seeds are really small!
Planted in a 72 cell tray and every cell germinated at least one seedling. I will be planting the seedlings in a large bed, with wide spacing. Then I will mix the remaining seeds with sand to broadcast over the entire area to fill in the gaps.
