My go to flashlight.
Great little flashlight. I use this flashlight more than any others I have. Compact and enough power and light. My concern with any rechargeable flashlight is how long the battery lasts. This one is amazing, I have had if for 7 months and only charged it 3 times. Compact, bright, durable, and dependable. It is my go-to light. It is small so you have to keep track of it but the clip is great. I keep it on my lanyard for work. I also like that it has different light settings so you don't always have to have it on high.

Small enough for keys, bright enough for real work
I carry this daily on my keychain as a general-purpose light, but it’s proven strong enough to double as a work light when I need it. Fit & Function: Very compact and lightweight, easy to forget it’s even there until you need it. USB rechargeable and battery life has been solid for everyday use. Performance: Surprisingly bright for the size. Easily lights up a room, trail, or parking lot, and it’s more than enough for close-up tasks. Noticeably brighter than the older keychain light I replaced. Practical Features: The magnetic tail is extremely useful — I can stick it to a hood, frame, or any metal surface and keep both hands free while working. The clip is also well designed and fits securely on a ball cap brim, which turns it into a quick headlamp for tight or hands-on jobs. Build Quality: Feels durable and well made. Holds up fine to pocket and keychain carry without feeling fragile. Bottom Line: Great all-around EDC light that’s small enough to always have with you but bright and versatile enough for actual work when needed. Exactly what I wanted in a keychain flashlight.

Love it so far. Definitely recommend it.
I've only had this about a week, but I love it. I bought this to put on the key fob for my '05 Prius and it's a great fit. Without the pocket clip, it's almost exactly the same length and thickness, but a little narrower. It feels solid and I like that the buttons are on the side. I believe it will not to turn on accidentally in my pocket. This unit is replacing a well used MecArmy SGN3 which has become unreliable due to wear. The MecArmy was smaller but turned on unexpectedly, draining the battery. The TIP2s is a good size, is brighter much brighter than the SGN3, and best of all, has the magnetic base. I work inside metal equipment cabinets and the magnetic base is a big plus. I can pull it off the keychain and stick to the cabinet to light up my work area. Even though you can't tilt it to aim the light, I believe it is bright enough to light up the area I'm working on. You just have to find the right spot... and remember to pick it up again when you're done! I haven't had the chance to test the run time, but if it matches the specs, I will be happy. Recharging was easy once the cap comes off. The first time I removed it, I thought I would break it from pulling too hard, but the hasp attaches to a metal plate inside the cap and it's very strong. The magnet is strong enough that I am not worried about the flashlight falling off. The TIP2 meets or exceeds all my expectations so far. If anything changes over time, I will update this review.

Max brightness doesn't stay on by itself
Neat little light, with good functionality. Easy to use, as long as you read the instructions to turn off demo mode, so it doesn't turn off every thirty seconds without you understanding why, or how to leave it in demo mode, so it doesn't get turned on accidentally and stay on until the batteries are dead. Tiny, lightweight and bright, the only reason I don't like it is that the brightest setting, the 720 lumens, is only accessible by holding down a button, so you you can't clip it to your hat, or something, and have it stay at max brightness. It's only half that bright otherwise - still bright, but not what I wanted. The recharging is by micro-USB, instead of USB-C, which is a drag, if everything else you have is USB-C.

Ol' Faithful
I have had this thing since January of 2020, and it still works like it is brand new. This thing has been all over the place, in mud, snow, rain, heat, you name it, and it is still kicking. Still holds a charge well, is still bright, and shows no signs of quitting. Part of me wants to buy a new one just in case they discontinue this beast. My only literal complaint is that I wish it were USB-C, but it is a small price the pay. The thing is small enough that you will forget it is there, takes a beating, and performs great. Cannot recommend this enough.

Great little light
Great light, I tested it at night with the car lights off, i can actually drive at 40km/h at night with its light and see where I am going ( wont drive far, but it emits enough light to see where you are going) update 4months later: WHY anybody would design a torch with a light that goes out after 30seconds IS BEYOND MY LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION , now I have to do a internet search again to figure out the sequence of how to turn the 30 second darkness feature offff, I hope there will be a firmware update to change the ridiculously short 30 second Darkness feature to something like 1 minute or turn it OFF FOREVER / REMOVE the ridiculous feature, Imagine buying a light that turns off by itself, after importing it to my country the cost is equivalent to buying a Drill or something, and I choose to buy a torch smaller than a car key that turns off the moment you start to get busy, and then you have to search the internet again how to make it stay on till you turn it off, because I wont be storing that info in my brain or keep the instruction manual with me 24 / 7 … Another thing is the duration you have to keep the switch pressed in to turn it on.. why so long If I want light , I want it now, so I have to resort to Turbo mode which is sometimes way to bright. Another feature is the lowest light setting, who is supposed to use that, the light may just as well be OFF.. Please release a firmware update. Update 2,5 years later, the battery packed up ( I Think / it died), So I thought im going to go bigger and brighter and bought a T4K, now THERE is a bundle of frustration if you ever had one ( the T4K), You always have to fiddle through the modes to get to the correct lummen setting, and you would sit in your chair, or at the desk, and then you would realize .. now my leg is getting really hot, and then the thing mysteriously turned ON, because the buttons pressed against your car keys or something, and the T4k is a 4000lumen flashlight ( it is really bright) , but that is 400 lumen with the switch depressed, the brightest lumen setting is 200 lumen, imagine that, you buy a 4000 lumen flashlight, and the brightest setting is 200 lumen, there is no 500lumen / 1000 lumen or 1500 lumen setting... the max is setting is 200 lumen :)))) and if you press the turbo button you get 4000 lumens for a few seconds :((( , needless to say I ordered another tip2 to replace this one, because the frustration levels is just so much lower, will have to find someone that wants a used T4K Although it might not sound like it, I do recommend this light, and suggest you use it with the plastic ( is it a belt/ hat clip) to avoid accidentally pressing the power button

Nitecore revamps the "TIP" ... and makes it brighter!
Here's the Nitecore TIP2, which is an update from the original TIP. This time it has two LED's and up to 720 lumens. Basically you can carry it two ways. Attach it to your belt or pocket with the clip, or hang it from a key chain. The base is magnetic, and as you should be able to see from the second photo above, there are two small magnets on either side of the USB charging port. This area is exposed once the tail cap has been pulled off. Therefore, in order to charge it, the cap needs to be removed each time. If you want to use it as a pocket light, and have the base stick to something metallic, then you might consider leaving the cap off permanently. Just be sure if you do that, that no damage comes to the charging port. It also three modes, low, medium, high...plus turbo. There's also two operating modes, "daily" & "demo". In demo, it only stays on for 30 seconds at a time. In "daily" it'll run for as long as you need it. To turn it on, press and hold the power switch. To advance the mode, press the mode switch. To toggle back & forth from "daily & demo" press and hold both switches simultaneously. You can only get to turbo mode by pressing and holding the mode switch, (whether it's on or off) and when the button is released, turbo ceases. While the battery is being charged, three tiny LED's located between the switches, flash in blue, then turn steady when finished. The Nitecore TIP2 is mighty small and mighty bright! I recommend it :-)

Almost the perfect light
I carried a tip 1 for years. Cant live without a belt loop light. Got the tip 2 and is better cuz the buttons are not on the "front" when hanging and do not get pressed on when leaning on things, and the magnet is better than fumbling with a snap hook, and brighter x2. But..........the 2 second wait to come on, and no direct low access ruined the possible best light ever. Im torn and still carry the tip one...
