What is difference of green laser vs red?

I was trying to decide between red or green on an EO-Tech reflex sight for my ar10. What I found out is as we age and our eye sight worsens, especially with astigmatism, the red is easier to see. I have a Vore-Tex red/ green dot on an ar15 and just a couple years ago I always ran it on green. Now at 45 unless I turn the brightness up fairly high the red is easier for me to see.

How many slots are needed on picatinny rail?

Basically just one. The entire body of the Fire Fly is an inch and a half long. The span of the rail mount is 3/4". Hope that helps.

How long will the battery last without charging if it’s not being used?

I’ve had mine over 90 days and it’s still on factory charge. It seems to have a very long stand-by battery life. I check the laser and light every night I install it on Gustav the Glock.

Will this fit a Springfield XD 9 subcompact?

2021 update. Underside of the XD is slightly (ever so slightly) rounded. The V2 does not sit flush or have a sturdy fit. Wonderful light/laser, just not a good fit with the XD models
