My old controller is a harrier international model ca-2 with input of 120 v ac and output of 3.6v dc. will this controller work?

I'm not familiar with the Harrier unit you described, but based on your description of it having an output of 3.6 V DC the answer is that it is NOT compatible. This unit has input from the AC power line, and simply cuts the line voltage in steps to dim an incandescent lamp. For illustration only, the steps might be ON (output full line voltage); Dim 1 (3/4 line voltage); Half-dim (output 1/2 line voltage); Dimmest (1/4 line voltage) and Off (0 line voltage.) Govwn the standard North American line voltage of 120 V, the lowest non-zero voltage from this unit might be 30 V, far more than what you need.

My old sensor was 100w does it matter that this is 150w?

Not at all in-fact it is better, all that means is you can use up to 150 watt bulbs, and your old sensor could only use 100 watt bulbs. Thanks for asking!

Is that ring terminal 1/2"?

I don’t remember but I didn’t have a problem installing it to the base of a standard light socket. It fit correctly.

Can it be used with led bulbs?

You want 3-way LED bulbs versus dimmable bulbs. Meaning 30,70,100 watt or 50,100,150 watt. With dimmable bulbs, you just get a slight brightness variation, with specific 3 way bulbs, you get 3 distinct light settings.

Measure first

I failed to check the measurements of this replacement module before ordering. It was a huge deal to try to get this larger piece to fit in the space at the base of the lamp. Ended up ruining the item so never got to see if it worked or not.
