It’s a self explanatory product, you stick the charging cable in and it holds your watch in place to charge. It works. I didn’t see a problem with the magnetic charger sitting too far back. I just pushed it so it sits flush at the front, although it can be fiddly and the disc did pop out the first 2 times but if you push from the back and use a finger at the front to hold it in place it does stay put.

I like how simple this stand is to use in conjunction with the charging cable I got with my I watch.

Okay does the job

Product feels good to the touch and very stable. However, I found the Apple Watch magnetic charging disc sat too far back in the opening of the stand, which resulted in a very poor / or even no connection with the watch, which results in slow or no charging. Added to this the charging disc for the series 8 watch is not as thick as previous versions of the charger, making the situation worse. I tried, as other have, to pack out the stand to bring the charing disk forward, but even having done this contact with my watch (S8 45mm) was not solid or consistent, resulting in slow charging. As an example using this stand with the disc packed from behind to bring it forward in the stand my watch took over 3 hours to charge from 50% to 100%. When I charged the watch directly without using the stand the charge time from 50%-100% was around 45 mins. So, if you are prepared to mod the product and accept slower charge times then the stand will work fine, but for me I've reverted back to a direct connection without using the stand.

I love it

Like this item to charge my watch as I can use the ‘nightstand mode’ to its full potential. Little niggle is that the hole that holds your cable doesn’t keep the cable in it the second you move the holder and the alignment for the watch when you have a 40mm is a little annoying as it doesn’t sit on the bottom of the ‘shelf’ so you have to make sure you line it up to charge. Nice bit of kit though that makes my life easier.
