Replacement Battery - Compatible with APC BACK-UPS ES BE550G

This replacement battery is physically interchangeable with the factory original battery. It appears to be equally well made. The battery is a snug fit in the UPS case, as was the original battery. Installation was straightforward and was completed in a few minutes without any significant problems. Operation of the UPS with the new battery is without problem,These remarks can be multiplied by "two": I have two identical UPS and the original batteries on each failed within about 4 months of each other. I replaced both batteries at the same time, both as described above and both with the same results as described above. I am uncertain what the original installation dates were, but I estimate the original batteries lasted about 4 or 5 years before replacement was necessary.

Our UPS unit started screaming at us one day, and it turned out it needed a replacement battery. Can't complain; it'd been going for about 7 years with no problems before that. So, after shopping around, we got this one. Works great, was affordable, and we hope to get some years out of this one, too, before we need a new one. Definitely less expensive than buying a new UPS!

I liked the ease of installation in my APC UPS. This battery is exactly the correct size to fit in the compartment, although it is a higher power capacity than the old original one. Ask me in 7 years or so how long it will last with use and recharges, I had no power outages yet.

Replacement battery for APC BE550 UPS. Fits and has proper F2 terminals. I let it charge in the unit overnight and everything worked when plugged in the next morning, just as with the original battery. The battery I received was Keyko brand. Shipping was on time and the unit arrived in one piece, although packaging was minimal. I will update if there is an issue. The original lasted about five years so I will expect the same from this one.

The same brand of battery lasted 7 years, so I replaced with another one.

The replacement battery fit correctly and I was able to change it in a few minutes. There was no problem with the terminals as they fit correctly. The battery was fresh stock and had a substantial charge.This was a much better alternative to the $45 unit that APC sells for this unit. The whole UPS unit only costs $60 new.This replacement battery wasn't the cheapest one, but it had the best reviews. I recommend this unit.

I originally purchased this battery on Aug 29, 2016 for my APC Back UPS ES 550 through Amazon. It was sold and shipped by AAA Security Depot USA.and it had a 2-year warranty. On January 2018 the battery died and since it was less than two years. I went through Amazon and told them it was still covered by warranty. Initially they said it wasn't, but then agreed it was and told me to ship the battery back to them at my expense. I shipped the battery back to them in January a few days later. They sent me a replacement battery. I couldn't get it installed right away so a few months later I installed it in the UPS and charged it up. I then plugged in my router and switch to the UPS for backup -- small items --nothing heavy. A day or so later the UPS started beeping that the battery was weak. So I emailed them back through Amazon and told them the replacement battery was defective. This time they agreed to just send me another replacement battery without my having to send it back.I received the second replacement battery and again installed it in the UPS. A few hours later the UPS started beeping that the battery was weak. By this time I was getting extremely frustrated to say the least.I began to wonder if the problem was with the UPS or the battery, so I took this 3rd battery replacement to a local Battery store that specializes in selling these kinds of batteries. They had the testing equipment to do an 8 hour charge and load test on this battery and let me know the results. They called me back a day later and told me the battery was defective and would not hold a charge. At this point I decided to give the whole thing up as a bad investment from the start. While AAA Security Depot was willing to ship replacement batteries, the batteries were consistently defective. The Battery store told me that sometimes these supply warehouses let the batteries sit for too long a time without charging them and don't load test them before shipping them out, so the chances of getting a bad battery is common. It would probably be better to purchase a genuine APC battery rather than an "AC compatible" battery, even if it costs a little more. I guess I will chalk this up to LESSON LEARNED.

It was easy enough to install, and replaced the previous battery perfectly. There have been no issues in the two months since I purchased it, so, it is definitely working.
