I love the zing of sauerkraut and the zip of a craft beer mustard on my hot dogs, burgers, roasted vegetables, and of course, with stuffed cabbage. And I love Sauer Frau for combining the two flavors into a convenient, squeezable, picnic- and tailgate-ready condiment.Giant bags of kraut (that aren't resealable) and glass jars (that can break in transit) have their places in my kitchen. But when I want just a small amount of kraut for a sandwich, this squeeze bottle means less waste and less hassle - and I can take it on the road. Yes, the consistency of the kraut is finer than we are used to, but it has to be in order to pass through the opening in the lid. And yes, the (liquid) brine will escape before the (solid) kraut. However, a really good shake of the plastic bottle helps recombine the two after settling. (Something I automatically do with ALL condiment bottles before pouring.)The appearance of the finely chopped and shredded kraut is typical. The fermented flavor is sour, salty, and mustardy. The texture is firm, crunchy, and juicy. And the taste is GREAT.I haven't sampled the other two options (Classic or Bavarian,) but the Craft Beer Mustard is my new favorite condiment.

If you like sauerkraut with or without caraway seeds, this has got to be the best kraut I've ever tasted for sale in any store! I think I remember back in the late 1960's having this type of German sauerkraut in our home...the incredible taste is very reminiscent. This kraut comes in a squeezable bottle. This was a huge design flaw... The hole is too small for the kraut to escape! It's not defective, just obviously untested. The only solution is to empty the kraut in to a small plastic container and stick it in your refrigerator. Now I can access the kraut. It'll be the only kraut I'll ever buy from now on as long as I can get it...

This will be excellent for summer picnics. The flavor is great, I gave it four stars because it is difficult to get it out of the bottle. I ordered both the regular and the one with mustard. One bottle arrived damaged because of the packaging - not a good idea to put squeezable bottles in a padded envelope.

So convenient. Great for on hotdogs, brats and rueben sandwiches!

Product arrived with loose lid and sauerkraut leaking from bottle. Disgusting. Upon further inspection, had an expiration date of 2023! Ordered this in April of 2025.

While the idea and the actual taste are fantastic, I found the product a bit too wet. When I squeezed the bottle I got kraut juice only and a very soggy hot dog and bun. Shaking the bottle did not help the situation. I had to manually remove the kraut from the bottle to enjoy. A bit too pricy to be this disappointed.

This is very easy to use...No opening a jar and forking out sauerkraut which can be like forking out spaghetti. The flavor is very good. Unlike most sauerkraut that is stringy and can be a bit difficult to eat this is very easy to eat since it is very shredded to come out of the squirt bottle and that makes the texture unique.
