Upgraded my HP i5 Laptop Model 15-bs015dx from 512g 2.5" hard drive to 1tb SATA SSD 👍🙂
Used this to upgrade my HP touchscreen laptop from a 512g 2.5" hard drive to a 1tb SSD.I removed the old drive and just left the bracket in place in case I ever want to upgrade to more space. Also, removing the old metal hard drive reduced weight and power drain by leaving a spinning hard drive in place. So far the device is working perfectly. I upgraded to the Chrome FLEX OS and the machine is very responsive and useful especially if you use the google workspace suite (gmail, gdrive, google docs etc.). Drive is roomy and fast! Pictures show the drive in situ in the laptop after installation of new SSD and removal of the old drive.TIP: I suggest you leave the old hard drive bracket in place and just tape the screws to the bracket before you close up the laptop. This way, if you ever need to add a 2.5" drive back in, you have all the parts to do so. 👍🙂

Works Well with My Old PC
The Silicon Power 256GB A55 M.2 SSD was easy to install and worked perfectly with my older PC. Performance is good so far, and it’s a huge upgrade over my previous drive in terms of speed. I can’t comment on durability yet, but I’m hoping it lasts for the long haul. For the price, it’s a solid option for breathing new life into an aging system. So far, so good!

Trusted the other reviews but this brand is instant garbage - Failed after 3 months of light-duty
I just needed an SSD for an enclosure to operate as a backup drive for my Time Machine (OS X). This drive, nearly like clockwork, will mount and begin to accept the backup, but within 10 seconds will fail and disconnect from the computer. I have tried multiple housings and internal drive connections, and every time it behaves the same.Poor quality. Spend the few extra bucks and get a brand-name drive that is more reliable. This is just instant garbage.

IT review here!
Alright so I'm A+ certified and have other certs and getting more. I bought this personally for myself. I've replaced thousands of drives and a maybe hundreds of M.2. THIS ONE was a peace of cake. Not only was the packaging nice for me to open but the drive works flawlessly. I got this drive on sale. For the price I paid for this drive, worth it! The actual price? Probably worth it, if I didn't have a budget. It works great and runs very nicely for me.Oh, be the way. This is an mSATA drive not an NVME drive, meaning it only has one notch in it instead of two. So the speed are technically slower but honestly I haven't seen a difference.KEEP READING IF YOU NEED PROGRAMS TO CLONE/FORMAT DRIVE.If you are look to clone a smaller drive to this one(like what I did) let me save you some trouble. Here are two programs your gonna want to download to use, and yes they are free!EaseUS Todo Backup Home 11.5 - for cloning and or backing up.EaseUS Partition Master 13.0 - for extending and moving the partitions around. (windows partition manager is crap). You can use the two programs above(they are free btw) to clone and fix up the drive for use. HOWEVER I will state if you DON'T know what you are doing get a professional or someone who DOES know what they are doing. You can destroy all your data if you aren't careful. However it works if you know how to do it. Pretty simple too!
