EASI: Keep your daughter real while helping her to realize her full potential.
Torn between the desire for your daughter (and/or son, truth be told) to succeed and the concern about losing your kiddo in the process? This book is for you. In "Enough As She Is,"girl expert Rachel Simmons takes our succeed-at-all-costs culture head-on, exposing the damage it inflicts and giving guidance on how to help your child experience true success without getting sucked in to the demands of unreasonable societal expectations. EASI provides reinforcement to listen to your gut and let your child follow her (his) heart. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I'm the mom of bright kids, and I want the opportunities of the world for them. At the same time, I am appalled by the resume-building expected of *children* and by the pressure to market our kids so that they can succeed. EASI is reassurance that being genuine and true still leads to meaningful success.

Relevant and Helpful
This book is spot-on when it comes to identifying some of the problems that adolescent girls face today. But what is most helpful about this book is that it helps parents solve some of these problems with their girls. Not only do I feel better informed about what my tween daughter is facing, but I feel better prepared to help her thrive during adolescence and emerge from it with confidence and joy.

Accurate and helpful
I love this book! As a 30 year old non mother who works with high school girl with mental health issue this book is dead on. Not only is it so true to girls but helps use manage our own behaviors to support the future generation.

Another phenomenal book by Rachel Simmons. I feel as ...
Another phenomenal book by Rachel Simmons. I feel as though she knows me, knows my daughter, and is speaking directly to us. I have highlighted so many phrases, sentences and, in some instances, entire pages to refer back to as we move from the end of middle school into the high school years.

The College-Industrial Complex
Every parent caught up in getting their daughter into a "good" school should read this book. It's not for folks who are willing to pay anything to achieve that end but for those who channel their high-achieving daughters into a perpetual cycle of academics, sports, arts and good works in order to impress admissions officers. The author resigned from a Rhodes scholarship to lead a more authentic life, so that tells you something about her point of view. I recommend it to parents all the time.

This book brought many insights as I try to be a good mother to my daughter's. I will definitely be going back to use this as reference for the many life experiences I expect my daughters to have.
