The conductive cap is mainly a touch function. It is the same function as the finger touch screen of our body. It can pull down the iPad's control center or notification center, or you can slide back up to the home screen. The sensitivity of the conductive cap is very good, it will not affect the work efficiency, please feel free to use! Note: After the conductive cap is assembled on the pencil, you may think that the conductive cap is not very tight after assembly, or that the assembly is not finished. In fact, this is not the product size is not accurate. It is for a better touch experience. Because, if the conductive cap does not reserve a stroke, the conductive cap will not work properly. **Q: Can you write with the nib cover on the apple pencil? And if so does is the effectiveness affected?** A: Can not write with the nib cover, can only use black conductive pen cap to write with touch function ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars overall very nice but... *by F***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2020* it doesn’t allow the apple pencil to fit in some cases. additionally, it makes it a bit harder to activate the double tap feature. but overall very nice, it allows a good grip and balance to the pencil ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Swipe to control center with your pencil, save the screen from fingerprints!! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2019* Swipe up to home screen. Swipe down to control center. I’m not an artist. I just don’t want a fingerprinted screen. Now I never have to touch the screen again with my finger. The conductive cap works as advertised and performs as a normal stylus. It works all over the iPad screen including the top and bottom as already mentioned. Never even tried the rest of the case. The pencil is fine for me as it is without a case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars I bought t for the conductive cap. *by W***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2019* I bought t for the conductive cap. The tip cover did not work for me. The sleeve did not allow charging with my cover. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/125867733-fironst-case-for-apple-pencil-2nd-generation-with-pen-conductive](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/125867733-fironst-case-for-apple-pencil-2nd-generation-with-pen-conductive) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
