Sturdy but lets the rain through
I recently removed a tree over my deck where I keep a small bonsai collection, and now the deck gets some pretty intense sun at some point every day. Many of the shade cloths I've seen are black and have a pretty dense blocking capacity. I wanted a lower number so that my bonsai maples would get plenty of light but be protected from the hard sunlight of a summer afternoon. This fits the fill perfectly and even came in a color that looked good (as good as possible!) with my house. It was very easy to install: I drilled holes in the underside of my soffit, installed eye screws and attached the back of the cloth with carabiner clasps to hold it securely. I then used bungees to attach the other two sides to the house. As the instructions say, the trick is to keep the cloth taught but with a bit of "give and take" in the wind, which is what the bungees provide. Would definitely buy again.

very strong and cut enough sun.
we use it over the raised bed using PVC pipes. The eye lets make it easy to secure it in place. We will see how long it last under the intense sun of Arizona. Since we installed it we had twoheavy hail storms that damaged the roof but this fabric resisted with no problem. Certainlyworth the money.

Does what its meant for
Im all smiles wth this sun blocker...no more sunscorched plants. Now my new propagations will survive. Allows just enough sun for growth. Great quality with the grommets in various locations making it easy to tie down. I love the color and the way it sails in the wind. Wouldnt hesitate to buy again. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Great quality and cheapest sun shade i found here
It is really nice I can’t believe it would be perfect cover for my balcony. I will upload a pic later. I bought it to keep the intense sun in the afternoon cause the balcony is facing west. It gets really hot. I believe this is the cheapest one here on amazon

For Light use only
Pro's - Nice look. Trimmed/sewn properly.Con - Only one so far - material light weight/thin. I am already seeing tearing at the tie-down areas (outside of the double-backed loops. Only used minor tension on bungies so I cannot recommend this shade for other than light duty use.

Fabric was ripped by grommet out of the package
I received the item damaged where there was a rip in the fabric by the middle grommet also the corner gromet pulled off after the 1st use. I will be sending it back for a refund.

Rectangular!
Dimensions and color was accurate. Hard to find actual rectangular shade panels like this. Makes a nice overhead shade sail without losing all the square footage from the curved panels that don't do anything for the corners. Still let's the light in, but still feels like shade.

Manufacturing defect
Shade seemed perfect, however one of the grommets ripped out in a moderate wind a few months after buying. On closer inspection, this grommet was placed too close to the edge of the fabric, actually extending outside the tarp leaving it weak. This is obviously a manufacturing defect/QC problem. Unfortunately this happened after the Amazon return window closed. Now the tarp sags and flaps around excessively at the site of the broken grommet.
