Not as good as the first two
I really rather enjoyed the first two books in the series, but, in this third episode, the authors seem to be attempting to write a X-Men movie for boys who like to blow things up.Sebastian does nothing but sulk. The protagonist (I finished this two hours ago, and I can't recall her name! That's how low the quality of this book has fallen.) goes from likeable to an angry, stupid girl. And, even though the authors killed off tons of characters at the end of book two, there are still so many that it's hard to keep track. It seems they let this story get way out of control, so they resorted to explosions and battle scenes. There's no character development, no real suspense, no romance. But there is a lot of destruction.

Get ready for a twisting, turning ride
(I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)I'm not sure how to properly convey how much I adore this trilogy. The characters are smart and sweet and flawed and relatable. The plot is engaging and timely. The relationships are real and heart-wrenching.As a conclusion to the trilogy, These Vengeful Souls is right on the money. Shanker and Zekas tie up most loose ends while teasing out some new threads so that the characters can live on in your heart. Evelyn is such a compelling heroine, both courageous and selfish, and I loved watching her grapple with her flaws in this book. The supporting cast is just as compelling, with all the brooding from Braddock and all the wit from Kent that you've come to expect and love. The budding romance between Catherine and Rose is also so unbearably sweet, my heart could barely take it.Get ready for a twisting, turning ride full of squees and sighs and book-flinging and maybe some tears. I was so thrilled to get an early copy of this book, but now I'm just envious of everyone who still gets to experience it for the first time.

A disappointment
I loved the first two books and couldn’t wait for the third, and final book. What a disappointment. The characters are flat and so is the dialogue. What happened to the witty banter from the previous two books? Not only that, but the plot line is over the top. Sometimes authors should not be forced to write a trilogy. (I say forced because that’s how the book reads-like they were forced to squeeze one more out when they just didn’t have any more ideas left.)

Everything I could have wanted
This was everything I could have wanted for the trilogy's conclusion. I liked the first book, and was destroyed by book two (in the best way). Book three gave me such an emotional roller coaster, making me genuinely fear for the fate of all the characters, Evelyn included. Everything I loved in the first books was here - Evelyn's wit and refusal to let herself be pushed around, Kent's skill at the one-liner (though, my god, his alias names are hilariously terrible. Haddock, you guys. Haddock.), Sebastian's strength and vulnerability behind his brood, and fiiiiiiiiinally we really get to know Rose! Such a rewarding and satisfying ending, and I found its conclusion was particularly moving.

A Victorian version of X-men
The story is set in an alternate version of 1883 England.Narrated by Evelyn Wyndham, Shanker & Zekas build their plot up to the final confrontationbetween Captain Goode and Evelyn. There is a huge influence from Marvel's: X-Men

Disapointing
After the merry chace we taken on over the last two books I was dissapointed in this final book. I have enjoyed Evelyn very much in the last but in this one she annoys me, couole thay with an unsatisfing ending and 3 stars

Not as good as the prior two.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. But this one just didn’t do it for me. It seemed to drag on and it took me much longer to finish. It was great to see the plot resolution, but I didn’t really feel like the characters had their own resolutions.

Great finale to the series
This series was delightfully entertaining and interesting. I loved the first two books and this book was a fitting ending. I worried after reading some of the reviews that it would let me down, but I found it just as compelling as the first two books and just as original.
