Beware of wattage before purchasing, This is more like a 500 Watt transformer NOT 1000 Watt transformer like advertised???
Item came in damaged box. Thanks to Amazon double wrapping the boxes or unit would have been damaged for sure. Unit seems to work ok for now but only time will tell.I am using this to step up from 120 vac to 220 vac for a contemporary kitchen exhaust rangehood that was purchased in Europe. The rangehood consumes (according to manufacturer) 270 wattts of power. This transformer is 1000 watt so I should be good to go. Note: I just checked the voltages to see where they are at. My household voltage is at 123.7 Volts AC and the transformers pumping out 247 Volts AC ? On their wrinky dink owners (from China of course) manual they claim to USE at least 50% higher wattage transformer than your equipment required wattage. So this in my opinion is NOT a true 1000 watt transformer??? More like 500 watts tops? The chinese ALWAYS try to make their product sound better than what it is. Also this product does NOT have UL or ULC or CSA certification symbols on it??? This is very concerning? Good thing my exhaust fan doesnt exceed 300 watts total? Also, the instructions also tell you to "turn it off" when not in use so this is NOT a continuous use transformer? I will keep everyone posted of my findings and performance of this unit over time. Remember the formula AMP X VOLT = WATTS for example if an electrical razor draws for example 1Amp X 120 volts= 120 watts of power is needed UPDATE: Item still works great.Installed rangehood fan from Europe (220 Vac) fan uses close to 300 watts of power so picking a 1000 watt unit should NOT put any strain or stress on it. Transformer puts out 247 volts which is ok for European voltages. Still going strong Ill keep you updated! UPDATE: May 18/2016 transformer still going strong , exhaust fan still runs perfectly Great transformer upto now Recommend

Works Great!
We purchased a $2400 Grumbach Incubator that was made in Germany to run on 220v. Our business is hatching very special, fancy and rare chickens and turkeys, and we cant just trust the operation of the incubator to any old cheap unit. If the incubator goes off during the time the eggs are developing, because of any reason, it is tragic, and a huge loss for us. So we did research. And we didn't want the cheapest or lower watt rated transformer. We wanted the best. I got the Litefuze LT-1000 home, plugged in the unit, connected the incubator and loaded the eggs, and switched it on.. Now a month later, we are having many hatching chicks and poults every day. I reccomend this unit. Remember to double the wattage for your needed unit to allow for reliability. For example; The Grumbach Incubator is 500 watts, so we bought the Litefuze 1000 watt to run it. Thank you

Efficient to use in Europe
I pick it up to power my video projector and home theatre in Europe. That is why I use the converter to connect to 220V 50Hz currency line my gears which take 110V 60Hz. I want to be sure that power (1000Wt) is enough to use that set I described (home theater - 530Wt and video projector - 350Wt). The only thing is the price which is a bit high for such devices.

This Step Up/Down is so fantastic. I can't live without it
This Step Up/Down is so fantastic. I can't live without it. I put together a real tanner with a 300 watt tanning light bulb inside a brooder and plugged it into it, getting free tanning now. See that middle socket? It is so deceiving and it makes people nervous; well, that is where you invert the wattage for the 210 from a regular plug in...Itโs bloody crazy! This thing is fabulous and then you can go on Amazon and buy the adaptors for less than $10.00 if you need to plug in overseas items. These makers are lovely people I just want to meet them and kiss them except I can't b/c I am an Israelite with strict customs, Hmm! Oh well. Genius, I say!

Great item
I purchased this to power a Nespresso coffee machine I brought from Europe to the U.S. It works great, and it's very quiet. There is a slight chemical smell when you open the package, but that was gone in a day.

Works very well, seems very solid
Works as advertised for some overseas electronic items I use at home here in the United States. The universal socket on the front is very useful and accepts a UK-prong plug with no problem. I tested and confirmed that the hot, neutral, and ground connections are in the correct orientation. As an added bonus, you can simultaneously use the 120VAC plug on the front as a convenience. This is the second transformer I have bought from this company.

The product overall is great even with its finish
We had a Bang Olufsen Music system from Europe which was working with 220 Voltage. When we moved to Canada we needed to buy a reliable transformer to convert the 220 to 110 V.We ordered LiteFuze LT-1000 Watt Step Up/Down Transformer on line from Amazon. The product overall is great even with its finish.ฤฐt is also very compact, when it is compared with similar transformers, you can just fit anywhere. We are very happy with this product and we just ordered 2nd one for our other European Music System. For sure we give 5 stars.

Works for what I need it for to convert North American 110V to Asia 220V for a hair device I got from Asia. It's pretty straightforward. Just select the input switch on the back and plug in the device in the front. A bit heavy but at least you have peace of mind knowing that it wouldn't overheat and start on fire. Hopefully.

Great little box to go from 120V to 240V
Great little transformer box. Simple to use and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Needed a setup to power some 240V components and that box was perfect!

Warranty does not work
I have purchased this item in 2019 and it stopped working by the end of 2022. I have been using it constantly with a single item occasionally connecting another item. Though warranty says 5y, there is no way to contact the seller
