Not silk, rougher finish.
These are NOT silk ties (no, not wool or cotton or linen, which all proper ties are made from), these are labeled "microfiber". Which I guess has it's uses, if you want to wear your tie, then buff the wax out of your car with it, throw it in the wash and wear it to yet another job interview. And no, the vendor never claims they are silk (or any other specific material), and in my limited experience Electrical Engineers and manglers aren't perceptive enough to tell the difference, so if you need a tie to wear because your manglement thinks things like "wear a tie $x-day" show team spirit and stuff, then three or four of these in various colors, and a few real dress shirts (with this kind of tie the "oxford clothe button down" in white or blue is probably best) will get you the brown-nose points. Or if you want a tie you can spill lots of stuff on and still get it clean, or maybe something to take on an airplane and use as a garrote if your plane is hijacked, then this is probably a good idea. When you compare the weave on these ties to a well made silk knit tie like Altea makes the difference is clear. Spend the extra dosh and get a couple nicer ties. You'll look better for it. And if I see you I won't make fun of you.(I bought three of these and I'm commented on all of them)

Great for the price!
Big fan of these ties, really nice and priced very well. Similar knit ties in department stores go for 2-3x the cost of these. Since they were cheaper, I opted to buy a few of the louder colors (orange, red, yellow). I was a little worried about their color; the pictures on Amazon seem a little dark and muted, but I'm glad to say they looked much better in real life. They were much more vibrant (the red and yellow were... not so much the orange), and the quality was passable. Left a little to be desired, but I'm not sweating it since it was a pretty good value. Definitely picking up more of these when spring time comes back around.

Fairly priced, but not quite there ~
When I first started seeing these knitted ties in magazines (i.e. GQ), I knew I had to get my hands in some of them ASAP. For that reason, I went on the Tie Bar and got a navy blue polka dot skinny tie. That one, was amazing, but pricey. So, I started looking for cheaper ties. That's when I found these ones. The material is kind of corrosive. It's not silk; rather, it is some sort of microfiber. You can tell they mass produce them, as it came on a cheap plastic bag as if it were a rubber iPhone cover. It is still wearable, though. If you need these type of ties just to be on track, go for it. But if you actually want them to wear them on a daily-basis, and you are more knowledgable on fashion, I would recommend the Tie Bar.

Buy this tie
Awesome tie. Buy with confidence. I bought this same style tie from another seller for a few dollars less and when I opened the package, it reeked of body odor. My wife assumed it was literal sweat from the worker that made it. This item, was NOT that. This tie is awesome. Don’t be cheap. You get what you pay for.

Stinky
Looks good, but came with the most atrocious body odor smell. Like really bad.
