Over one year with zero problems.
These are clearly a weak spot in the K24 Honda engine, as they quite commonly leak and fail. Tired of $350 "SAE Technician" repairs, I snapped one of these up. On an Element (and probably CRV), it is easier to remove the right front wheel and put the vehicle on a jack stand. You can almost see the unit and it is easier, if that is possible, to access it and tighten the bolts from the wheel well. Removing the old one is easy. As to finessing the new one into place, you pretty much can't see where it's going and it's tough to feel it into place.I bought new bolts, so I cut the heads off of the old bolts and threaded two of them into the head. Slid the solenoid over the two "guide pins" - the old headless bolts, and it held in place. Then, I threaded in one new bolt and snugged it to hold the solenoid in place. Spun the two headless bolts out and threaded the new ones in. Torqued them down, plugged it in. I used a code reader which indicated a bad spool valve solenoid - which I already knew from the bucking and jumping. It's been over a year and I seem to recall that it acted up for a mile or so at first, but then, with a few ignition off and on cycles, the code reset and it has been fine ever since. Net savings of $300.

Solenoid stopped working after 1 mo
We bought this for my 2007 CRV. The part worked for about a month then my VTEC start stopped working. Uninstalled it bought new gaskets for my old unit reinstalled my old unit with new gaskets worked perfectly. Glad that I didn’t throw away my old part.

So far so good.
I replaced this part a few months ago and it has seemed to hold up well, most important there's no oil running out the back of the engine.

Good product
The product was great, it fit perfectly to much car and erase the error code that car was giving me. The part was easy to handle and it was sold for a good price.

Just installed. So far, so good. Make sure to onplug cam position sensor, as we broke the wire on mine.

lasted ~13 months, 6,500 miles - then pressure switch failed
This did work for me after my 150k mile oem vtec body/solendoid/switch assy started acting up. I installed and monitored the two circuits on this new assy. Initially the switch circuit showed either zero volts (ie: vtec closed) or 12.9 volts (vtec open), but then recently car threw p2646 code, and switch was showing only ~4 volts when vtec was open (instead of the necessary full 12+ volts).I replaced this time with a legit Honda oem assy (about $250 instead of $35 for this), and the switch on new assy once again showed 12.9 volts and the p2646 code has not yet returned.I didn't feel like gambling again (or having to replace the part yet again). In this engine design, the solenoid and pressure switch toggle on/off hundreds of times a day, if not more - depending on driving habits, etc (every time rpm crosses ~2200 vtec opens or closes) - so I decided to go with a legit factory part for higher $$$.Note that some of the aftermarket VTEC assy's offered on amazon have a longer warranty than 12 months - this one only offers 12 months.

Great Part and great Seller
This item has been great so far. The P2636 code has been corrected and my vehicle runs much better now. Thank you!

Doesn’t work
I purchased this solenoid to replace my factory vtec solenoid for an RSX type S. After installation I noticed that vtec was not engaging like it usually did with my factory solenoid. After a week of having it on, I then removed the replacement solenoid to find out the gasket was garbage. I do not recommend this product.
