Cat Litter - 8 lbs.

Unfortunately this has become pricey litter. It works great and does last twice as long as other crystal litter. No odor, no dust, cats say its ok. It is Amazing Stuff.Very pricey in stores like $18 a bag..... maybe more next month. Can get on Amazon (shipped free on supersaver, yup 16# cat litter shipped free, Amazon has got to lose money there) for $13 a bag.. less than $18 pet store or by mail paying postage from WAG.So far its a win win until Amazon charges postage.ooops, now its January 2013 and Amazing Cat litter is $18.49 a bag, almost twice the cost of the first bag I bought in June 2012. IT IS THE BEST LITTER but at almost $20 a bag,sorry its priced out of my range even with super saver. Unfortunately i can't find it in area stores

Update: this brand is way better than non crystal cat litters, but I hate it so much I have to come back and drop it to one star. Stirring this creates a giant smelly dustcloud, and I’m throwing it out after a little over a week. Yuck.I’ve been using crystal silica litters for the last couple of years, after trying the brand that ships via a monthly subscription. I love them, but wanted to find a cheaper non subscription required litter, so have been trying various brands over the last months.This brand is my least favorite so far.Pros: There is such a large quantity in the bag, that I probably could have poured only half of it into my large domed box. In a one cat household, I recommend doing just that.It does soak up the urine well, and there is no pee smell whatsoever.Cons: Huge dustcloud when pouring into the box that I was unprepared for. Had me sneezing. None of the other crystals litters I tried had that effect.Largest crystal size. Some litter will always get tracked out, and these aren’t super fun to step on. I use a hand vac around the litter box regularly, but still. Ouch.Does not dehydrate my cats poo the way all the other brands do when used. No coverage whatsoever for poo smells, which is unacceptable after using really great crystal litters for years and being accustomed to zero bad smells. Even though I scoop solids out daily, the smell low key just lingers. Forever. It’s awful.The lingering smell issue is so bad that even though I’ve only had this in use for a week, I’m restocking the brand that I do like (Pet Safe Scoop Free crystals in a two pack) and dumping this. Not sure how long it will absorb urine, because I can’t stand to go any longer.The only reason I gave this brand three stars is that it still works way better than any other non crystal litter I have ever tried.Pet Safe Scoop Free lasts me seven weeks with one cat. Seven long weeks of no bad scents whatsoever from my cat’s litter box. Go with that one.

This is better than your traditional clay litter, but it doesn’t deter orders enough. I prefer a better product even if it costs more. I don’t want my house to smell like a litter box.

I have been testing 6 different crystal cat litter products for the last 5 months since the Nature's Miracle crystal product is no longer available in my area. I have 2 cats including one who refuses the box if too dirty or objectional litter. I also have multiple chemical sensitivities and have to be careful with most products. I switched to Natures Miacle crystal and loved the product - I was able to go down to one box and minimize the care and cleaning effort. The dehydrating action really minimized odor.My evaluation included these criteria - Price, Odor after use, Tracking, Time needed before litter change, Cat Acceptance, Ease of care - scooping, changing, cleaning box after change. Most performed well on all criteria, except odor control. With crystal litter, I scoop poop daily and change litter weekly.1. Absorbs liquid and oders as claimed. I use 50% corn litter with it for my cats' foot comfort, and to better judge when it the box needs changing.The corn litter tracks more than the sodium crystals.I could make it last weeks longer if I left the crystals in there until they can absorb no more, and a puddle of pee forms on the bottom of the tray. But I make these crystals 1/2 of my kitties' litter so we can live cat-odor-free. I never want to come home & be forced to drop everything to change the litter ever again. And this works:I scoop the clumping litter daily. Some crystals come out with it. When the clumping litter get low, about 2.5 to 3 weeks, I dump and change the whole tray. Never smell anything up until that moment, including the tiny turd bits that I miss when scooping. They dry up like stones.The one time I can smell cat urine is during the dumping process, when. I put the used litter in a brown paper bag. This is probably because at least some of the crystals are completely full, and I do see some damp but no TT clumped corn litter at this time. This is not a problem! The urine stench is faint that unlike before I used crystals,I can roll up the bag and put it in my regular trash can to go out later in the day without contaminating the trash can with cat stink.enough to put the fullI then disinfect the litter tray by spraying it with 3% (drug store) hydrogen peroxide, letting sit 10mins, then washing it with dishdoap & my hose, we're stink-free and good to go again.
