Does the fabric slip under it at all?

Not at all ...It sticks to the surface of the machine and I've not had fabric get caught.

What a joke. Was going to order but you offer prime shipping then final page says will arrive in 2 - 26 days. No thanks?

I believe you had ordered through a back-ordered seller. Meaning they have the item currently being shipped the warehouse. https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005NGX8M8/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new Add this link above to your browser, you can see the delivery options.

Are they made of acrylic?

No, spongy - I like them a lot , the thickness especially , but they did not have the staying power, I ended up going slower on my machine and using painters tape to help with my quarter inch. I also switched from the plastic 1/4 in foot to a steal foot. I am not brave enough to cut the painters tape to the desired thickness, I understand some people do that and also use post it notes. A coworker uses this brand you ask about, she has not had the issue I have had.

Do you remove this from the machine if you are going to sew "half-Square Triangles?

Gently pull the guide up from the machine bed. If there aren't any threads stuck to it, you can use this once more. I lightly "tap pressed" my guide strip on the side of the sewing machine until I needed it again.
