Furnace Flame Sensor Replaces Rheem - Ruud - Weatherking 62-23543-01

Well, in 2010 and 2012 I had new flame sensors installed on my furnace. The cost was over $300 each time. I watched the tech install the flame sensor, and it took him at most 4 minutes. I was tired of being ripped off. I purchased this product, installed it in 5 minutes (very simple to do). Works perfect, and I saved the old one since it still works fine. Paid just $18. for it. Saved over $300. because I installed it.

Nothing fancy here, but I am happy to say that the flame sensor ceramics and metal end up sending the right signals (whatever those may be) to my RUUD natural gas furnace. I tried cleaning my old one, but that didn't work, so I purchased this one on Amazon. It works great and has not sent a false signal yet. Cheap and very easy to replace yourself.

Upon reading the information, and several problems other customers had with their unit's, I had the same problem. I cleaned the flame sensor and this helped for a time. From time to time the problem repeated it's self, not all the time. I ordered the flame sensor to have it on hand and today I installed it as the fan would run in the off position. I removed the shroud that held in the kill switch in , the only way to stop it from running. It took about 10 minutes to install it, now the unit runs perfect. I highly recommend this part. Our sensor began to fail several years ago, and each time, the house temp would drop a couple of degrees before turning on the furnace. We needed the repair man on each failure, and all he did was to clean the sensor with steel wool, and it would be good again for about a year. We decided to try a new sensor to avoid the repairmans yearly visit, and so far it works well.

Perfect fit and worked like a charm. You may need a long magnetic screwdriver to install.

Great price and works perfectly. Very simple DIY replacement. I tried cleaning my old one a couple of times, however, it was inevitable that I would have to replace it. Just replace it...it's not worth having a cold house when it is so easy to fix.
