Arcade Legends 3 Upright Arcade Game Machine

i recieved it about a month ago so i waited a while b4 reviewing it. i am not a 'gamer' in the normal way,and truth be told,that was never great with any video games in the 70's and 80's,but i love to play. the machine arrived without a bump,scratch,or any problem. u put it on with a on/off swith on the top. it takes a few minutes for it to warm up. then u easly access the games by using the ball.there are soooooooooooo many games! many i never knew about. remmember these are older type games before graphics and coding. i tell u if u can afford this and sometimes like simpel flat screen, u will love this. i love it. o-by-the-way, make sure u use a good surge protector with this baby,better yet i remove the plug from the wall. well. well peace,out. happy 4th july to all.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with tech support for a company. I've had an outstanding ticket on the machine with Chicago Gaming for two months with no answer or help. Hard drive has apparently failed after four years of very occasional play (once a month at most.) Tried to call the company and all I get is a recording telling me to submit a ticket online. Ticket has been in open status for two months with no communication. When the machine is turned on the topper lights up and the screen says "no signal".....so I have a $3000 dollar night light. Machine was purchased new four years ago.

The game is fun my kids like to play it but if you are buying it for the Golden Tee aspect of it don’t buy this machine. I bought this new from a local Game Room dealer after swapping out the track ball four times in a year we have come to the conclusion that the trackball for Golden Tee it just doesn’t work on this for this game Like the dedicated arcade version of Golden Tee. If you are a Golden Tee fan and you expect the accuracy of a Golden Tee trackball you won’t get it with this game. Putts pull to the left when pulling the ball straight back and straight through and you’re always going to hit a little bit of a draw due to the software ball interface on the game not lining up. I bought the game for Golden Tee and with the other games being a bonus so I have been very disappointed that the golden tee is not accurate like a real Golden Tee is today. If you’re just buying it to let the kids mess around and you’re not expecting it to perform like a real Golden Tee and you’re wanting to buy it for the other games it plays great! All those old nostalgic games are on there and ultimately I decided to keep the game because the kids liked all those arcade games so much. I then went out and bought a real Golden Tee for my golden tee fix.

My machine was delivered on Wednesday and I was able to play it a couple of hours last night. I had wanted an arcade machine for years and we finally moved into a home where we had room for one. So I researched machines for a while and believe this is the best compromise for the home. Ideally, you would have rows of vintage machines in your house but who has room for those? And the shipping would be killer (more on that in a moment). I was able to order my machine when free Amazon Prime shipping was available. The other "free" shippings offered by other sellers appears to curbside shipping only. So if you need the unit in your basement or something it will add hundreds to the price so be careful. Now, on to the games.... The vast majority of the games are completely arcade perfect. One of the compromises of these arcade collections is that the screen orientation varies on classic games. However, AL3 automatically renders the screen in the correct format. And the screen size never seems small because the monitor is so large. The other huge compromise with these compilation units is that they cannot accurately reproduce the controls properly for every vintage game. Most of the AL3 games are correct. For example, Battlezone has you play with both joysticks, which is very close to arcade perfect. But other games do suffer from the lack of a light gun or paddle. These games control surprisingly well with the trackball but could be better. Why include so many gun games with no actual gun? Why couldn't you include paddles for Arkanoid, Super Breakout, and Tempest? And, surprisingly, I did find one game that was unplayable because of the poor controls. And this is why I deducted a star from my review. Spy Hunter is only controlled by the joystick for movement and one button for shooting. That's it. No way to shift gears, call the weapons van, or fire other weapons. This choice is baffling because there are so many available buttons on the machine. And I consider this inexcusable when Spy Hunter is prominently featured on the cabinet art. So, in short, this is likely the best single arcade game for the home. Just be wary of shipping prices and be prepared for some control issues on a few games.

My wife was so happy and suprised when she got this for Christmas! Now it lives in our bedroom. She plays those old games every night.. great value

Was seriously looking at buying this. Then it became too difficult to figure out and weed through what games are included because every other one is the same Golden Tee. I get it.

Great fun with a wide array of games. Just like playing at the arcade.
