Did what I needed it to.
I debated for awhile whether I should get a generic cable or go ahead and get the Rode cable to go with my Rode camera mounted mic. I decided to go with the Rode because it has good shielding and is a balanced connectors. Plus Rode has never let me down yet.

Works great just as you would expect from Rode
It is a little expensive for what it is but I have had 0 problems with it. The sound quality is basically equal to using the mic without this cord. Very well made as well and doesn't seem like it'll break or rip anytime soon.

Good beginners boom arm accessory
Works as intended! Used it to boom a microphone out of frame for a YouTube video.

Exactly What I Needed
I recently purchased a lavalier microphone to use with my DSLR, but the cable was far too short to be usable in front of the camera. Even though this cable is from a different brand than my microphone, it is exactly what I was looking for. This is a reasonably priced, excellent quality 3.5mm extension cable.

Worked Perfectly. Exactly what I needed.
I was able to use this today for an interview I was shooting and the result was perfect. I connected my rode mic to a pole and wired it from the pole to my camera which was a good distance away from each other. The result was solid and the audio is perfect. Thank you Rode for making yet another great product.

Good extension cable for Rode VideoMic Pro
I used this with the Rode VideoMic Pro to run across a boom pole to a H4N audio recorder and it worked well. I still get a little hissing noise, but as long as you record some silence in each location, it's super-easy to remove that hiss in post.

Not for Rode VideoMic Me
Several posts claim this cable will work as an extension cable for the Rode VideoMic Me Directional Microphone for Smart Phones for a iPhone, iPad, or Mac. It does not work with those devices and the Rode VideoMic ME. This cable is TRS and a TRRS cable is needed to supply the 3v to this specific mic from Rode.

Works as advertised!
This is a good extension cable if you are going to connect the Rode VideoMic to a camera or other recording device. I use this to connect my VideoMic to a Canon Vixia HF-M500 video camera when mounting the mic on my mic stand. It is important to note that since this is a 1/8" in (3.5mm) unbalanced cable, the signal is susceptible to noise being introduced into your audio. I have found that it is usually at an acceptable level. Adobe Audition has a very good noise removal function, and that has sufficed to remove most traces of any noise. In order to remove that entirely, you would need to use an XLR connection. That would of course require a professional grade camera or audio recording device and a higher end microphone.
