SimFlex Expanding Sewing Gauge

I got this to simply make buttonhole spacing easier and more consistent. But, when you expand it, the spaces are not equal. You couldn't use it for anything that needed precise alignment. Second issue it that it expands only to about 3 1/4" at max. My shirt buttons need to be 3 1/2" making it virtually worthless to me. When I tried to return this clearly defective product, the seller said that would deduct what they paid in "free" shipping from my return. You have no way of knowing what that amount will be, or any way of verifying. If you decide to buy one of those, pay the extra $5 for the Prime one. At least you can get a refund if it doesn't work for you.

Works great for button placement. Yay no more math and measuring. I would love an even longer version. I sew HA garments and measure out what seems like hundreds of buttons and button holes. This definitely simplifies the process.

I use this product to measure the distance between my buttons and buttonholes. I found it extremely useful.

This may have a learning curve, ut when I pull the accordion apart it doesn't always separate at an equal rate, causing me to be unsure of the spacing is accurate or not.

Very useful

It came slightly bent and it doesn't open evenly. When placing buttons I had to manually move each section to be same distance apart, which pretty much defeated the purpose of it.
