I first bought the Black Magic static cling tint and tinted both of the front-side windows of my XTS. I was NOT happy with how it looks after it's on the glass. It has a purplish hue to it when you're in the car, and it's hazy; your view to the outside is obscured. A query to others who have bought it informed me that those two factors never go away. So I decided to try the Gila tint, and I am so glad that I did. For one thing, it went on Much easier, and faster. I don't know why...it just did. Further, it looks (from inside the car) dramatically clearer, and there is no purple haze (great song...but not what you want in window tint). From the outside of the car, it's considerably darker than the Black Magic product, like limo tint, but from the inside, there is no problem seeing outside. Visibility is not impaired. I must add that if you REALLY want the window tint job you do to turn out the way you wish.....Don't think you can figure it out for yourself. Tinting windows is nothing less than an art form, and those who are really good at it and make their living doing it, have done it hundreds or thousands of times. Take some time, and watch some YouTube videos about window tinting before you try to do it yourself. The time spent watching Pros do it will be well worth it, and with this product you should be able to do it yourself, with an outcome you will be happy with. **Q: Why can’t gila film be applied to acrylic or plastics?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Gila brand removable-reusable static-cling vinyl, such as this product, is perfect for use on flat plastic surfaces.  However, using a window film containing adhesive should not be used with plastic, Plexiglas, acrylic or lexan surfaces. The film's adhesive contains chemicals that could react with the organic base of a plastic surface to produce a milky, bubbly appearance.

**Q: Can this non- adhesive gila privacy cling be used on plastic corrugated cardboard?**
A: Our GILA film has not been tested on corrugated cardboard, nor is it intended for that use.

**Q: How big is a roll?**
A: The dimensions are 24 in. X 6.5 ft.

**Q: How many boxes will I need?**
A: depends on what & how many windows your covering??? I did a F150 four door and used 4 boxeswith mistakes...

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install but no replacement for the real thing

This tint is very easy to work with and cut, it won’t get permanently stuck to itself, it’s easy to adhere to windows, it’s cheap and the 5% does block heat and light pretty well. The material itself is kind of thick and heavy. It’s great for someone learning to tint for the first time. The only caveat is it’s a little hazy. You can see through it but it isn’t perfectly clear. If you need to pull off your dark tints to get inspection every year this is a cheap and easy solution. Just know it won’t match the quality of the real deal.
