This glue stick dries clear, holds strong, easy to use. I use it for cards, junk journals, pretty much all my paper projects. I really like this glue stick. 👍

Instead of buying expensive self-adhesive labels and printing those, I print on plain white paper and use the UHU glue stick to adhere the paper to the parcel, then cover over with transparent tape. The UHU adhesive is by no means permanent, but helps keep the paper perfectly flat for taping. They changed the formulation. It's now "blue" on application and then changes to clear... supposedly to help you see where you applied it and where you didn't. But it's a bit stupid, because the color changes rather quickly, so it's easy to lose track. Also, the stickiness seems to be a little less strong with this formulation change. I'd prefer if they went back to the original. It's still a good glue stick, though.

The only truly permanent glue stick adhesive. I use it in place of a wet glue so I could keep working on a project instead of having to wait for it to dry, AND it performs just as solid as a wet glue. I sometimes use acrylic paint and this adhesive works like magic. No lifting. Just make sure you apply to entire area. I love that I don’t need to reapply nor go over more than one swipe. Worth every penny!

I am a crafter and have tried every glue stick I have seen for sale--and for every purpose you can imagine. The Uhu purple sticks are the BEST EVER---they leave all other glue sticks in the dust. They have never disappointed me or the children I teach crafting to. This brand has been impossible to find for the last year or more in all the stores in the Chicago suburbs. When another company recently began coloring their sticks purple, I thought they might have purchased Uhu and bought their product--it is no good. If you want a reliable glue stick you NEVER have to worry about, get Uhu. It comes in a larger and smaller diameter, I like to have both on hand, depending on my project.

What a wonderful discovery! I make greeting cards (for family and friends) and had a problem with uneven glue application. This not only resulted in uneven glue spread, but curling paper. The UHU stick spreads evenly, smoothly -- and is purple as one applies the glue. Easy to see glue application and scrape off excess. The glue dries clear. I bought three sticks. A must for all paper crafters.

I usually like this brand but I got the large and it wouldn't glide across the paper. It was dry. I had a small one do the same thing. It's not worth the trip to return it so I just won't buy it again. I don't know what happened. I use to like these. Maybe I got a bad batch or a bad vendor.
