The Broken Token Venus Next Acrylic Token Compatible with Terraforming Mars

First, give yourself plenty of time to peel the protective paper off of the acrylic. Don’t wait until game night to get this together.Second, the size tolerance on this token is very off compared the the three in the base set. I ordered all four token markers. The base set slid together nicely. This one was broken while trying to get it in the stand. I ended up getting the broken bottom in the stand with a flathead screw driver for leverage and supergluing the token back together. However, now it has superglue finger spots on it.I’m sad because this is part of a birthday gift.Like I said, the original three tokens fit together beautifully. So this has to be a problem in either the base or the green acrylics width.

As others have noted, this is very difficult to put together. It's almost as if their measurements are off very, very slightly.I scraped the bumps at the base of the rocket and was finally able to coax the tab into the slot in the base. I put it on the board, went to get a drink, and when I came back, the base had split. The tension from the tab being incrementally too large was enough to split the base in two, propelling half the base about 6 inches across the board.For $4 it's not worth the hassle to return it. I'll carefully superglue it together and think twice before ordering any other acrylic piece from Broken Token.

Bought these for my son and husband...each own the Terraforming Mars game. They actually loved the tokens and are "fun" to use instead of the white blocks. The tokens are a very substantial and not flimsy. We paid attention to previous reviews warning us to be careful in separating the bases from the form and all was well. Highly recommend this product.

The piece wouldn't snap into the holder. Yes, I was inserting it in through the correct side. The bumps on each side were too wide to snap in place. I put so much effort into trying to make it fit that I cut my finger. Eventually I resorted to filing down the bumps to the point where it slipped in and I just superglued it in. I didn't have this problem with Broken Token's three other track pieces for Terraforming Mars, so I was pretty surprised the lengths I had to go to get this in place.

The concept for the item is simple and it looks great. However the size of the top venus token is just barely too big to fit in the base. I reordered a second one and I was gentler trying to out the pieces together and it still broke in half. I had difficulty with the oxygen temperature, and generation acrylic pieces but I got them to fit. I'm sure the creation of the pieces use the same dimensions, but the shape of the venus token hurt your hand as you push it in so its difficult applying equal pressure without hurting your hand. The venus one just doesn't fit. I'm sure if I took some sandpaper to the bottom before it'll fit but it's too late now.

We love our Venus Next token. We have the Broken Token complete set for Terraforming Mars, but when we added Venus Next expansion we were missing something that looked nice to mark our Venus track.Did we need this? No. But does it make our board look complete? Absolutely.
