An exact replacement work bowl for my DCL-7
UPDATE: When I purchased this bowl in November 2020 I received the 2-tab version that is compatible with the old DCL-7 lids. As of March 2024 the photo of the bowl on this webpage now shows 4 tabs. If you are looking for a 2-tab bowl you should look elsewhere, such as at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPL7BT52 .ORIGINAL REVIEW: My Cuisinart 14-cup food processor is a DCL-7 Super Pro, circa 1986. This replacement work bowl is the 2-tab version from the 1970's and 1980's. A longer tab is located along the top edge of the bowl near the handle and a shorter tab is on the opposite side. It fits perfectly on the DCL-7 base and properly engages my lids. I am happy that I can continue to use my heavy duty food processor with the lids and accessories I already own.Newer 14-cup Cuisinarts, such as the currently available DFP-14, use work bowls with 4 tabs and require lids that fit 4 tabs. One can use a 4-tab work bowl on a DCL-7 base, but one would need to buy a new 4-tab lid also.

Like getting a ne food processor.
I have an old DLC-7 Super Pro which has a 14 cup bowl. It was purchased in 1979 and I've used it almost everyday since then. No surprise then that the original bowl has developed a crack, as has the top and part that fits into the large feed tube. I replaced all the bowl parts and am very happy with the replacement. My only problem is the cracked stem. Davy duty duct tape is working so far since the replacement I bought from Amazon didn't fit. I am very pleased with the other new parts. Since the machine works great, having all new accessory parts is like getting a whole new food processor without the expense. All 4 parts I bought cost $84 and a new, comparable machine is$179.

Will NOT work for Model DLC-7E
This bowl will not work for model DLC-7E. It fits the base just fine, but a tab on top of the bowl is too large and prevents our existing bowl cover from fitting and locking. Without locking the processor will not operate. I was unable to find a bowl cover to fit this newer bowl and, unfortunately, will be returning the bowl.

Fits our DLC-7 PRO
I bought this to replace our damaged bowl on our Cuisinart DLC-7 Pro. I had my fingers crossed because so many reviewers said it didn't fit what they ordered it for. But one answered question said it does fit the DLC-7 Pro, and I saw that it was returnable so I took a chance. I'm happy to say it fits and everything works just like the old one.

Fits my 1980s DLC-7!
The color and material has changed since I purchased my Cuisinart in the mid1980s but this work bowl fits . I had to replace the lid and it’s components several years back. Noticed the color and material change then. Purchased directly from Cuisinart. Was concerned I would have to buy both together so they would work. Color and material match it and so far it works. Happy not to pay a fortune like I had to when buying direct from Cuisinart. The food processor has served me well for 40 years. Had issues with a newer Cuisinart and returned it. Just glad I can get replacement parts at fair prices for this old workhorse!

Misleading Description - This doesn't necessarily work with DLC-7 models
This is a fine product, but the description is a problem. It is called "Cuisinart Work Bowl for 14-Cup Food Processors (DLC-7, DFP-14)". The problem is that it claims to be compatible with DLC-7. This is only partially true.Cuisinart redesigned its work bowl and pusher assembly in recent years and changed to a clear plastic called Tritan. If you have an older DLC-7 series food processor (including DLC-7, DLC-7 Pro, DLC-7 Super Pro, etc.), then this newer-style work bowl will ONLY work IF you also have the matching newer-style work bowl cover, sleeve, and pusher assembly. If you try to take an old-design DLC-7 series work bowl cover and fit it onto the top of this newer-style work bowl, then you can try to jam the cover into place, but it won't properly engage the mechanism that let's you run the food processor (unless you force it down manually, which is a major pain and generally a bad idea). If you buy a completely new DFP-14 4-PIECE Tritan bowl kit (including matching bowl, cover, sleeve and pusher assembly), THEN that whole kit should work with most older DLC-7 series food processors (except the DLC-7E).

Rare Find--Great Replacement Quality
My 1995 Cuisinart is a lifesaver in the kitchen. I've used this machine way beyond what should be its useful life, but the motor is as strong as ever.I was crestfallen when the work bowl finally cracked across its bottom and wouldn't hold any liquid. I couldn't find a decently priced replacement before finding this on Amazon, so I improvised a temporary epoxy-repair solution and used my beloved food processor for dry jobs only (grating cheese, crumbing crackers, etc.) until my husband found this replacement bowl. It's exactly the same quality as the original and it's wonderful to have a clear bowl again (my old one had become clouded from the combination of acidic foods and "cracker crumbing," one of my favorite uses of the old machine). The price is great and the quality of the bowl is excellent--an exact replica of my original. Just remember this is the bottom portion of the workbowl only & does not include the lock-on lid or pusher assembly.UPDATE 2/4/12: Bowl's still going strong. Someone asked what model # this was; just FYI: mine's a DLC-7FPC.

Need to purchase new lid assembly
That I was not informed that one needs new lid assembly. Old lid would not fit and therefore I was unable to turn on processor

Fits perfectly
I was sceptical when ordering this replacement bowl for my Cuisinart DLC-7 Super Pro. It’s quite old either late 80’s or early 90’s. It is a superb machine and functions as well as the day I purchased it, but my bowl was cracked and I could no longer use the machine. I had originally ordered the used bowl, but quickly canceled that order for the newer unit as it was stated in a review that you cannot return used items if they are not appropriate. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’m now able to use my machine and I hope to have it for many years to come. It is a workhorse!

Does not fit our original mixer
Appears to be the right part but its missing the top tabs. Also, this bottom fits too tightly on the mixer's base. Looks like we need to buy a new top to make the bottom work, like it was redesigned to only work together. We returned this bottom part; had to pay return postage and there is a 20% restocking fee. A new mixer is preferable.

Happy to find it!
