Works perfectly. A pig to fit.
Ok the thermostat itself is perfect. Stats your thermo. Fitting it however is a whole new level of pain. It's Pisa's fault, not this product. If you're a gynaecologist you're laughing. Although I wouldn't suggest doing it on a Peugeot 3008 thp with the battery and tray in place. Found a blown fuse too, which supplies this over engineered thermostat set up (PSA again!) So if yours has a thermostat error along with the water pump actuator and oil pressure regulator all in error, check the fuses on the bsm unit. Enjoy! 😂

Only lasted 2 years
These plastic thermostat housings are well known to crack and leak on 2nd generation Minis. My original lasted 12 years. Bought a cheap replacement where the thermostat didn't close leading to MOT emission failure because engine temp wasn't high enough. So got this more expensive FebiBilstein version.Moulding quality is excellent matching the original but unfortunately after only 2 years, the thermostat jammed closed resulting in engine overheating. Maybe suffering MOT failure is better than overheating the engine, so I've gone back to cheaper alternatives.

OK, but not direct replacement
Part was packaged in an anonymous clear bag. Part was marked as "Made in Italy" and is definitely not "Made in Germany" as it was stated in the description. It's not what I expected from a febi bilstein part/I seriously suspect this is not a febi bilstein part.Be careful, contrary to what Amazon suggests this is not a direct replacement for the EP3 engine. It has an extra outlet that I had to blank off (I didn't see it when purchasing, but it's in the product images).Apart from this, the part was installed last week and for now it seems holding.. Not really happy with my purchase, I wouldn't buy it again, but it's ok if it holds.

It's not fitting, don't buy for r56 n18
I have spent 3 hours to fit these than i realised the part has little difference than original.Now the part not suitable for return. Waste of money ...

Waste of 2hrs stripping car
Amazon stated it would fit febi bilstein said it fitted Mini coopers 2011 R56 N 18 engine but dosent fit. Wasted £23 pound on a wiring harness kit as well.
