My Big Animal Book (My Big Board Books)

My toddler class has used this book for a few years now and they love it. It has also held up well. They binding is still intact and little wear is shown on the book.

The pictures are great and my little one loves to turn the pages and.talk about each animal.

The price of this Quality Animal Picture Book is a well done learning tool for kids! Nice opportunities to see kids bond w/ parents and grandparents! Pages are easy to turn but not so sharp that paper cuts should be an issue. This is a nice selection of birds, fish and mammals for kids to explore. The price is affordable and I received it the next day.

A great children’s book if they love animals. Educational, cute and sturdy!

Our 22 month old daughter loves this book, along with "Colors, ABC, Numbers" by the same author. The book is large, and filled with colorful pictures of all kinds of animals. There isn't any narrative to read, it's a grid of animals in different categories. Babies (with goslings, kittens, kids, etc), pets (dogs, cats, etc), on the farm (cows, horses, etc), birds, etc, etc, with each page spread representing a different category. The animals are then presented in a grid of squares similar to what you see on the cover photo, with the photo of the animal with the name printed below. That's all there is to the book, but our daughter finds it fascinating to point at each animal, say the names of those she knows and can pronounce, make the noise for the ones she can (and/or get us to make the noise). But when it's reading time, this is always one of the books she brings over. Plus, she'll open it up and read it by herself, as well. Really great book series.

Updated below: Our latest Rodger Priddy book is a BIG hit! My daughter loves it! The photos are wonderful! This book is a baby library must-have! Highly recommend! Update: had to change from 5⭐ to 4⭐ due to the books binding. My now 2 year old daughter loves the book but the first one didn't last too long. The binding isn't the greatest for a book designed for toddler use. The first books back cover ripped off, I tried but was unable to fix it. So I purchased a second book and it happened again, back cover ripped off! It happened while my daughter was carrying the book with it open. The photos attached to my review are from the second book I purchased, trying to repair it. I'm having trouble as the middle of the books spine isn't attached to the cover. Forgive me if this is standard book binding, I don't know much about it. Just seemed to happen way too easily (and twice)! Otherwise we love the book itself! Great, colorful photos of animals that my daughter loves! It's been helpful in helping her identify and name "baby" animals versus "adult" animals, different species of birds, where different animals live and more! Just upset about the cover. Going to try and glue it (again).

This book has been a favorite around our house. My daughter got it as a gift about 13 years ago and looked through it daily for a couple years. We decided to hang onto it because she loved it so much we hoped our next child would as well. When we put it in a Rubbermaid tote we had to tape the spine because she loved it so much. Fast forward to 10 years later when we had our little boy..... The book came out of the Rubbermaid tote and he has loved it just as much as my daughter did. Now the entire book is bound together (pages and all) with duct tape and is still going after two babies loved this book as thier favorite. I just ordered this book to give at a baby shower. I'm pretty sure I will order this book for any baby shower or baby gift that I can! My little ones loved it so much I don't know what kid wouldn't!

Nice. Book with big images and all high resolution pics. Only bad aspect is that some of the animals aren't relevant to Indian context and the book seems to have missed a few common animals.
