Bose Wave® Radio III - Titanium Silver (standalone Product)

Already having a Bose radio in my bedroom, I decided that I also wanted one for the living room, and I am so glad I ordered it! If you are not familiar with the Bose sound, you owe yourself a treat. The audio in these Bose radios is all encompassing--the bass is deep and rich, while the tenor sounds are clear and distinct. I just love them!! This particular model does NOT have a CD player in it, however, which is fine, because I plan on purchasing the multi-CD player. The AM is as wonderful as the FM. Turn up the sound on your favorite stations and you are taken away. As far as operating the Bose is concerned, all tasks are very easy and well-explained in the Users Guide which comes with the product. I would also like to add that this model can display the name of the song being played, in addition to the station ID, but I turned that function off because I did not need it. DO NOT LOSE THE REMOTE! If you do, you will have to order another one. The radio has no buttons or push bars on it.

Great sounding radio which you would expect from a Bose product. Only disappointment is the lack of Bluetooth functionality. The product was as described. Compared to a new radio the cost was a good value.

Wow. That was easy. In today's technological age, I thought it would be a nightmare buying and setting this radio up. But silly me. I opened the box, took it out, plugged it in, hit one button, and wo-lah, sound! You don't need me to expand on sound quality, as others have already done that. Suffice it to say it sounds great. In this I-pod age, this looks big. At its widest it's 14", with 9" of depth. It rises 4" off the counter. Do note that this is just a radio. It doesn't play CDs. I understand you can hook up your I-pod, but I haven't tried that yet. Anyhow, Im pleased with the purchase. I received it three days after ordering it, in perfect condition.

I use this as a morning alarm radio. It is easy to set up and does this job very well. The tap on-off feature is nice. FM reception is very good. AM reception is marginal for my fringe location and not quite as good as my automobile AM radios. Overall sound is good, but I would rate it closer to a table radio than to a larger stereo system. A little less than I would have expected for the price. No bass and treble controls on this radio and some people may have a problem with that.

I just purchased this system and at first I put it on my counter space in the kitchen in a corner space and it had way too much bass sound but when I moved it out away from the corner it sounded GREAT!! So dont back it up into a corner and it will be perfect for ya,if your hearing too much bass sound,try putting it in several different places and you will find the sound and bass will be much better in different places. I love mine and Will be purchasing another when I can.Thanx Bose for a great product for music.

Normally I would give this radio 4 stars for sound, reliability and reception, which are no better or worse than models made 15 years ago. However, I am downgrading it -2 stars because of two "features" that are proving annoying in 6 months of use: 1) The only operation that can be done on the radio itself is power off / on. No changing the station, or even adjusting the volume, any other way except by use of the remote. Want to turn it up a little? Either keep the remote on top of the radio where the control belongs (so you effectively have no remote) or hunt it down from wherver you used it last. When I ordered the radio this did not sound as annoying as it is in fact; I grumble at this radio at least once a day because of this change from the older model. 2. The 'Aux In' port is new, different from that on the older model and a design for which I do not already have the connector. If it had, or also featured, the style used on previous models I would have several of the type of connector needed. I use the connection to stream radio stations that are not available over the air locally... or, I used to. We have two other Wave radios purchased several years ago. I discern absolutely no difference in sound quality or reception between the new and older models. If I had it to do over I would simply hunt up a used, older model instead of buying a new one.

Nothing bad to say about seller--quickly arrived in good condition. After years of experience with Amazon, I've come to expect about 30% 1- & 2-star ratings on products that are still worth trying (you truly can't please everyone). With only a 15% negative rating I felt optimistic going with this radio--it's a Bose after all! It probably deserves a 5-star rating in most every area. However, I've got to side with the minority on this one. Unless you want this just for talk-radio, enjoy being stopped at an intersection behind a guy who's car trunk is stuffed with amplifier, or think that un-adjustable chest-thumping bass is an essential quality of good music, you'll find this radio to be a very expensive disappointment.

The product looks brand new, no scratches! Easy to connect and most of all it sounds great; perfect. 'exactly what I'm looking for" I use it for my enjoyment. early in the morning until I set it to go off at night. I'm happy! 👋👍
