How about the stickness of the 3D printer glue stick?

This works well, not too sticky but hasn't failed me yet. Usually a light tap with screwdriver handle will break the part loose. Once in a while, with a large flat part I will have to use a thin flat bladed knife to gently pry the part loose.

Will this work directly on aluminum?
