I normally use synthetic strings like Obligato's or Evah's.Always felt steel core strings sounded thing. These DON'T !!I bought them based on review says "What Helicores were meant to be" or "Helicores on steroids"He was right. These are great if you want fast settling. Like when cross tuning. But you don't have to give up too much from synthetics.

I bought a set of these strings recently and they are excellent strings! I had no problem installing them and they have a very warm and powerful sound. I am an advanced Violin player and these are probably the best sounding steel strings ever. I highly recommend these for any modern player.

I'm using this particular brand for over 10 years. Long lasting, warm tone, on the particular violin used on.

The package I received had a broken A string and the E and G strings were used. I still want to try this set, but receiving broken and/or used strings is unacceptable.

The 'A' string snapped at the peg long before it was tight enough to be in tune. Sometimes trying something new doesn't work.
