An excellent snack, very satisfying as it control blood sugar for up to 9 hours. It’s all natural ingredients and gluten free. I will purchase this product again for my family 😊

For a diabetic protein bar, you would never know there is 1 gram of sugar. Sweet and delicious
You would never know there was only 1 gram of sugar in these raspberry/yogurt protein bars. They are just the right amount of sweetness and low in carbs. Very delicious. Keeps me full between meals. Bought 2 boxes so far including the chocolate. A must buy!

Not the tastiest but very decent
First of all, I am a food addict. I constantly am either thinking about food or eating something. I have been trying to search for snacks that keep me full for longer, have more protein and not full of sugar. I tried the bar as my breakfast today. it's been 3 hours already and so far I am not hungry and don't feel like my blood sugar is going low. I was going to check my blood sugar before eating it and couple of hours later but was too lazy to do it. It has only 9g of Protein and I wish it had more but the net carb is low and it claims on the bar that it will keep the blood sugar steady for up to 9 hours so we'll see. The taste is good but it is not amazing. I have a hard time with a lot of textures (Sensory issues) so the texture is not the best for me but definitely not bad. They were out of the chocolate flavor which is always my favorite so I ordered the yogurt and berry one.

Flavor blast but hard on the jaw.
The snack you want to like but is hard to eat. The flavor is great but the dense texture warrants a lot of chewing! Great for getting that snatched jaw!

They Really Work!
A few months ago, at age 62, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. My doctor suggested that in order to get a handle on the problem, I needed to start testing my blood sugar levels on a daily basis so I could discover which foods my body likes ... and, more importantly ... the foods my body doesn't like. As it turns out, I'm extremely carb sensitive and have started eating a low-carb diet. It has made an incredible difference in my numbers and weight, and I'm now well within the good range, except when it comes to my fasting blood sugar numbers. They were still very high. I did a lot of research and it was suggested that I try eating a snack prior to bedtime, a snack that combined some carbohydrate with protein. I tried a number of different food combinations, and although some of them did bring down my fasting numbers to some degree, none of them got the blood sugar levels to the target range I needed. I was getting really worried because from what I was reading, it appeared that the fasting number was the most critical and if it remained high, even if my other after meal numbers were excellent, I would probably need to go on medication at some point in order to bring them down. I was freaking out over this until I came across a blog that discussed the ExtendBar and it's ability to lower the critical fasting numbers. About 90% of the individuals who had tried these bars had incredible success. I, therefore, decided to give them a try and I am so glad that I did. The drop in my fasting numbers was immediate and has continued to be well within the optimum range ever since. My only negative comment, and this is only slight, is that the taste leaves something to be desired. I must say, however, that I haven't tried all of the choices and will continue to experiment until I hopefully find a flavor I like. Having said that, they are definitely more than edible and their ability to lower my numbers will mean that I will continue to purchase these bars and incorporate them into my regular diet no matter what. So, in closing, if you are having difficulty getting your numbers to the levels you need, you definitely should purchase these bars and give them a try. It can't hurt if you do, but it can certainly hurt if you don't.

Stabilizes overnight blood sugar
My 9-year-old daughter has Type 1 diabetes and we could not find a bedtime snack that stabilized her overnight blood sugar - until her diabetes educator recommended the Extend Bar. It REALLY does what it claims to do - stops blood sugar from going too low overnight. Now my daughter does not have to eat a glucose tablet in the middle of the night to keep from going too low. Her morning headaches and shakiness are gone! If her bedtime blood sugar is 120, her fasting blood sugar is usually around 100. The bars do not cause a sharp spike in blood sugar, just as advertized. Although they don't taste like real granola bars (not as sweet or moist), all the peanut and chocolate varieties are tasty enough to satisfy a picky 9-year-old. Thank you, Extend Bar!UPDATE 04/25/2015:My Type 1 diabetic daughter is now 14 and is still eating one Extend bar before bed. I am CERTAIN that Extend bars have helped stabilize her overnight blood sugar since she started eating them at age 9.The varieties with NO sugar work the best at stabilizing the blood sugar of a Type 1 diabetic:Rich Chocolate (formerly called Chocolate Delight)Chocolate Peanut Butter (formerly called Chocolate Peanut Delight)Peanut Butter (formerly called Peanut Delight)My daughter tried these new varieties but did NOT like the taste. They contain NO sugar but do contain stevia:Chocolate and CaramelCookies and CreamThese varieties contain 1 gram of sugar, so they might be acceptable for a Type 1 diabetic but are not as good as the sugar-free varieties:Mixed Berry (Haven't tried).Apple Cinnamon (No one liked the taste).DON'T buy the "Crunch" varieties if you are diabetic! The "Crunch" varieties contain 30 carbs, 10 grams sugar (!), and 5 grams of sugar alcohol - and they caused my diabetic daughter's blood sugar to spike overnight. I don't understand why the manufacturer included so much sugar! These are a NOT a good choice for a Type 1 diabetic:Chocolate CrunchPeanut Butter Crunch
