It will lighten dark brown hair however keep in mind that in order for hair to go from brown to blonde it will have to go through a reddish or strawberry color faze

It doesn't say on the bottle but if you Google it then it does say cruelty free...

Do you have to go in the sun to use this?

It's activated by heat, so using a hairdryer will work too. Though the hairdryer might not be as effective.

What’s the difference berween yellow and red?

The only difference is the scent. Yellow is lemon scented and red is tropical-breeze scented. Take care!
